"So this is our plan for the freshman party tonight." Ursula says as she shows me some diagram she had sketched out.
Wow, Ursula had sure outdone herself this year.
Ursula Owens, my best friend and the current Vice President of the student council.
Captain of the drama club, chess club and tennis.
I didn't know what I'd do without her.
She was running for valedictorian, and with her grades I'm sure she could do it, but there was one thing that was always stopping her from that.
Kyle Bowers.
Captain of the debate team, fencing and math club.
He was just as smart as her, they'd always trade spots for the top student every year. What pissed her off though was that he had been valedictorian twice while she had only became valedictorian once.
He was currently beating her by one point.
"This is amazing Ursula." I tell her genuinely and she smiles at me as I scan the whole diagram she had made.
I was always rooting for her when it came to her endeavors.
I just wanted to see her happy.
"Ahh, if it isn't Ursula Owens." I hear as I turn to see Kyle staring down at her.
She rolls her eyes as she crosses her arms over her chest.
Here we go again....
"Gee Kyle, by the amount of time you spend obsessing over me. Shouldn't you be sure of my name by now?" Ursula asks him, not even bothering to look at him.
Did I mention they hated each other?
"What's that? Geez, even my five year old sister could draw better than that. Come on Owens." He says as he eyes her diagram.
She hides the diagram from his view and he chuckles at her.
"It's nothing, Bowers. Don't you have other things to do besides picking on girl's drawings?" Ursula asks him and he smirks at her.
"You're planning the freshman party? I'll be sure to drop by." He says and she rolls her eyes, glaring at him.
"You aren't invited." She says and he sighs.
"The poster said everyone in school could come, Owens." He said and she rolled her eyes at him in annoyance before looking at me.
I sigh and look at the two of them.
"Goodmorning to you too, Kyle." I tell him with a fake smile on my face.
He nods at me and greets me as well.
"Morning, Prez. The fencing team wants to commend you on increasing our budget this year. I hope you know how thankful we are." He says and I nod.
He walks away and Ursula looks at me.
"I hate him. I fucking hate him, Penelope!" She says and I sigh as I catch Garrett's eye as he walks out the cafeteria.
He winks at me and I think I'm going to lose it.
He has so much control over me it's annoying.
"Y-yeah. I hate him too, Ursula." I say and she sighs.
I watch as she frowns and pout at her, as I pull her into a hug.
She didn't deserve to be this upset. She was doing her best.
