How dare he man handle me like that?!

I was literally just watching a fight. He had no right to boss me around.

"Woah woah woah, I literally just complimented you on your fight and now you're going to kick me out?!" I exclaim and he rolls his eyes.

Now he was ignoring me?!

I stomp my foot on his, as he lets me go and I attempt to walk away.

Suddenly his arms are wrapped around me again as he stares into my eyes.

"Angel, I'm not kicking you out. I'm taking you home, I'm going with you." He tells me and I roll my eyes at him.

Why does he have to be so protective all the time?!

Why was I asking myself that? I already knew the answer....

"Just because we got married back in kindergarten, doesn't mean you own me! Actually, even if we did get married, that wouldn't mean you could boss me around as if I belong to you!" I say and huff.

He suddenly scoffs and pulls me closer to him, my body going still.

"It's not about that! I just want you to be safe, I've seen lots of people get beat up here or get hooked up on drugs. It's not your scene." He says and I sigh.

I knew that! He just didn't trust me enough to know I would never do drugs or get on the wrong side of some people here.

Was he that doubtful that I know how to keep myself safe?

"Whatever, I took my car here. I can drive home." I tell him and pull away from his grip.

Theo couldn't always tell me what to do. He didn't own me.

I was my own person.

He took me in his hold again and my back was pressed into his chest.

"Let me take you home please. It isn't safe at this time." He says and I sigh turning in his arms and looking up at him.

I pull away and cross my arms over my chest.

"Fine, let's go. But we're taking my car." I say and he nods, wrapping an arm around me and steering me towards the exit.

. . .

"Wait, pull over here." I tell him and giggle to see where we are.

My favorite place to party!

Theo eyes me and raises a brow.

We've hung out here a couple of times before so he knows what I intend to do.

"Why are we at the club?" He asks and I shrug, giggling at his dumbfounded stare.

I just wanted him to lighten up a bit.

I wasn't the same girl I was in kindergarten.

I didn't need protecting.

"I wanted to visit a friend. It'll be quick I promise." I say and he sighs.

I stare at him and huff.

"You can wait in here if you want, I'll only be a second. I know you're probably tired and all." I tell him and he sighs before I get up from my seat and open the car door before he has the time to convince me to stay.

I wanted to show him that I wasn't as innocent as before.

Not like he thinks I am.

"Eva!" He calls out but I'm already walking towards the entrance.
