"I cannot believe my mom asked you that, Kara! This is so embarrassing." Macy says with a groan.

I chuckle at her as I chuck a pillow to her face.

I was currently sleeping over at her place and we had just finished dinner.

"It's fine Mace. Besides, I have nothing to hide. There aren't any boys I like in my life right now." I tell her, guilt pooling at my gut.

Well yeah, except your brother maybe.

"Except for me!" I hear behind me, voicing my thoughts.

Macy rolls her eyes and chucks a pillow behind me.

"Will you get out of here! This is girl talk." Macy says, glaring at him.

I turn to see Dallas leaning against the door frame, chuckling at Macy as he catches the pillow and throws it back to her.

He was making this so hard for me.

His hair seemed wet from a shower, a few pieces falling on his forehead, with a small tower wrapped around his neck.

He was currently in a tank which showed off his biceps a lot.

Oh those arms.

Damn it, forget about it Kara.

"Fine, go finish your girl talk or whatever. Goodnight sis." He tells Macy as she simply stares at him, waiting for him to leave.

His eyes move to mine as he smiles.

Ah that smile. The kind of smile that makes his eyes turn into slits.

The kind of smile that made me melt.

"Goodnight, Kara Bear." He says as I smile sheepishly at him with a nod as he turns to walk away.

Goodnight indeed.
. . .

I toss and turn, not being able to fall asleep as I take a peek at Macy to see she's totally passed out.

When Macy falls asleep, there's nothing that could wake her up.

I sigh, getting up and heading downstairs to grab a glass of water to hopefully help me fall asleep.

I trudge down the stares, feeling quite chilly from just the oversized shirt I was wearing.

I gasp when I see that I'm not alone in the kitchen and sigh, my hand clutching my chest in relief.

"You scared me!" I exclaim as Dallas raises a brow at me.

He was currently standing in front of the kitchen counter, shirtless in nothing but his pajama bottoms.

Fuck.

"Umm, it's my house? You're kind of like the intruder let's be honest." Dallas says with a chuckle and I sigh, slowly nodding.

Well he did have a point.

His hair looked messy from sleep, as if he had just gotten up as well.

"Couldn't sleep either?" I ask him as he slowly nods.

He shrugs and takes a sip from his mug.

"Yeah, but I'll head up in a minute. Was craving some." He says as he raises his mug of hot chocolate.

I nod, offering a small smile as I make my way over to the glasses.

I approach the cabinet, standing on my toes to reach for a glass.

Okay why did they place the glasses this high?

Robbers weren't going to be stealing your glasses any time soon, Macy!
