Reunions (6 of 7)

"Nervous?" Daisy asks me with a smile as we both sit in the waiting room.

Fuck yes I was.

We were currently at her next appointment with her doctor to see how the baby was doing.

I just wanted everything to be okay with the baby. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to Daisy or the baby.

At this point I had grown attached to it, and I'd do anything to keep them both safe.

I nod at her as I feel myself shaky all over.

Daisy takes my hand in here as I sigh.

"Everything will be okay. I mean, so far there are no problems at all with the little sprout." She says as she rest her hand on her belly.

Little sprout?

How adorable.

"My Daisy and our little sprout. You're so fucking cute." I tell her as she giggles, as I press a kiss to her lips.

I was over to moon to be starting our family.

It was early, we had just graduated college and started working, but I had the means to provide for them. We had nothing to worry about.

"Miss Daisy?" We hear as our kiss gets cut short, as we pull away from each other.

The receptionist recognizes me as she points at me in shock.

I press a finger to my lips as I nod, not wanting to attract any attention.

This was Daisy and little sprout's day. I didn't want to steal the spotlight.

We arrive at the room as the doctor greets us.

"Ah, Daisy told me to expect the baby's father to be joining us. We're happy you're here. Ready to see your little one?" The doctor says as I nod.

Daisy smiles up at me as she lays down.

The doctor takes her measurements and does a brief check up on her before she finally checks on her belly, the screen showing an ultrasound of her abdomen.

"And there it is!" The doctor says as I gasp.

I don't know exactly what I'm looking at as Daisy smiles at the screen.

"How is the baby? Is everything okay?" I ask as the doctor nods, smiling before her face falls.

What the?

"Is..something wrong?" Daisy asks nervously as she stares from the screen to the doctor.

No, please make the baby be okay.

Fuck.

"Um, hold on for a moment." The doctor says as she continues to check up on Daisy.

I take Daisy's hand in mine, comforting her as she looks to me.

Suddenly Daisy starts to cry as I shake my head at her.

She looked so scared.

"Hey, no bunny. We don't know if there's anything wrong. Everything's okay, right doc?" I ask as the doctor goes silent before slowly nodding.

Oh thank God.

The doctor suddenly lets out a laugh before shaking her head at Daisy.

"Actually, it would depend on you two. Miss Daisy is a first time mother so this type of news would depend on the couple." She says as I raise a brow at her in confusion.

Daisy stops crying as she wipes at her tears, looking just confused as I am.

"Umm, Mr. Villanueva, do you have any history of twins in the family?" The doctor suddenly asks me as I slowly nod.
