I stare at the date on the chalkboard.

It was the last day of this month.

Time really does fly when you're young and in love. I mean, it was in my case.

I had doubted the potential of a relationship with Wesley at first. I mean I did have my suspicions, but who wouldn't when a boy suddenly approaches you after not talking to you for so long?

Day by day however, he continued to surprise me with how much he cared about me.

Yes, I had loved the isolation and the loneliness.

However, I had loved spending time with him even more.

It had been a few days since we had started dating and I'm really glad I followed the advice to take that leap of faith and just let myself go.

I was extremely happy to say the least.

He was everything I wanted. He accepted me for who I was, and even found the weirdest things about me, attractive.

Piercings and all.

"Ava, I have to tell you something. I've been meaning to tell you for a few days now, but I didn't want to scare you away." Wesley suddenly says as we walk home from class, hand in hand.

But all things good, would always tend to have a catch.

It wasn't all perfect.

I raise a brow at him. Was he hiding something for me this whole time?

No, Ava. Trust him. Wesley cared about you and never made you doubt that ever since you two went out.

I nod, waiting for him to continue.

"What is it?" I ask as he sighs, giving me a small smile.

He lets out a nervous chuckle and takes both of my hands in his.

"I know we've been only going out a couple of weeks, but.. what I'm trying to say is... I lo-" He starts to say but is suddenly cut off by someone calling out to him.

Suddenly a guy from class, Dennis walks up to us as I raise a brow at him.

I knew Dennis.I hated the fact that him and Wesley were friends.

He was one of the few reasons why I was so suspicious of Wesley at first.

Everybody knew Wesley hung out with Dennis and Louis, they were bad news, always challenging each other to trash school property, those kind of things.

I didn't like the influence they had on Wesley.

Ever since we had dated, I noticed Wesley trying to avoid him. He wouldn't be doing anything crazy recently.

Maybe because we spent almost every minute together.

"Hey Wesley! Times up, bro." Dennis tells him as Wesley glares at him.

How dare he interrupt Wes?!

"He was trying to tell me something, Dennis. Don't be a fucking asshole." I say, defending Wesley as Wesley sighs.

Dennis chuckles, shaking his head as he smirks down at me.

I fucking hated the guy.

He looked all smug as he crosses his arms over himself.

"I don't care, bitch. This is between Wesley and I right now, understand?" Dennis says as I glare back at him.

Wesley's jaw tightens as he glares back at Dennis, suddenly shoving him as Dennis falls to the floor with a thud.
