"Hey Atlas, that's Delilah. The girl I was telling you about." Theo says casually as Atlas continues to stare down at me with a smile.
Get me out of here.
What the hell did Theo mean by that?!
"All good things I hope. Right, baby?" Eva asks Theo with a nervous chuckle as I am still frozen in Atlas's hold.
Okay, I must admit. I did imagine us meeting at some point since Theo knew him and all.
But I didn't expect it to go this bad!
"All good things." Atlas answers for her as I sigh.
Well if he says so.
I let out a nervous laugh and pull away from him, still feeling a slight buzz from all the drinks earlier.
I mean at least I wasn't flat out drunk. That would have made the situation even worse.
"I'm sorry I bumped into you, I wasn't watching where I was going." He apologizes as I instantly shake my head.
No, it was definitely my fault! I had wanted to get away so bad that I wasn't careful at all.
"We'll let you guys talk. Theo and I are gonna...make out!" Eva says as she pulls Theo away with her as Theo stares at her weirdly.
"Wait, Eva!" I exclaim as Atlas stares down at me with a smile.
Great.
Now what?
"Um, you don't have to be afraid and all. I'm not gonna hurt you if that's what you think. I usually leave all the fighting in the ring." He says with a smile as I nod, letting out a laugh.
I must say, he is far from what I expected.
He is wasn't scary at all, or the serious type.
He did seem pretty chill and smiled a lot.
I wasn't used to seeing him so casual.
...or with a shirt.
"Umm, no. I'm not scared of you. I'm just a bit nervous, that's all. I mean you're great! I loved watching the fight." I say, trying to make it as casual as possible.
...and I watched all the other fights as well for the past three years but he didn't need to know that.
I really didn't want him to think I was crazy.
"Yeah, I mean I saw you in the crowd. It really helped me out a lot thank you." He says with a chuckle as I remember exactly what he meant.
Me screaming during the game, he remembered me.
Fuck.
And I had seemed like a lunatic as well.
"Y-you you heard that?" I stammer as he chuckles, nodding.
He laughs at it as if it is one of his fondest memories.
He scratches the back of his neck and points to his eye which is a bit darker now that I notice.
The hit he took from earlier.
I hadn't noticed it due to the dim lights in here.
"Yeah, this hurt like a bitch but I heard you in the crowd and I just knew I had to continue. So, thank you. Sometimes having people like you cheering me on has its perks." He says as I nod, smiling up at him.
He made me seem less of a crazy fan.
"Oh shit, that really must have hurt." I say as I lift my fingers to his bruising eye.
