A few months later...

"And that is another goal for Villanueva! That is what we like to see, folks. This kid is the Viper's newest recruit this season and he is definitely quickly becoming the newest fan favorite as well!" The announcer says as I the goalie from the other team groans in frustration.

I smirk at him as he glares at me.

"I'm watching you, kid!" He says as I chuckle, running back to my team for the huddle.

My new coach smiles at me, patting me on the back.

"That is quite impressive, Villanueva. We're glad to have you on the team. We're a few points ahead, but let's not let them have any more points. Go team!" Coach says as we nod, separating and getting back to our positions.

It had been around 5 months since I had arrived here and I had already made a name for myself. I was glad to actually fulfill my dream of being a Viper and go pro.

This is what I had always wanted to become, and yet something was missing.

Well, someone was missing.

Fuck, I still couldn't get her out of my head.

My Daisy.

I wonder what she was doing right now.

Did she get published? Had she become the writer she had always wanted to be?

Was she happy?

Did she find someone else to love more than she loved me?

The thought of her and someone else made me feel sick all over.

Fuck, I still wasn't over her.

She was the love of my life... well she still is it seemed.

But she had left me with no explanation and told me she didn't love me anymore.

Everything with her was perfect and suddenly she had to end things just like that.

We had finished the rest of the school year not seeing each other.

Sometimes I had glanced at her during class or see her doing cheer warm ups from across the field.

God I missed her.

We graduated without talking to one another and before I knew it, I had left to play in another state.

There were no goodbyes at all.

What the hell had I done to make her fall out of love?

"Villanueva? Villanueva look out!" I hear my teammate, Sean say as I snap out of it.

Someone was trying to steal his pass to me as I instantly get my head back in the game.

Fuck, I got distracted.

"Shit, I'm sorry." I say as I receive Sean's pass, running towards the goal with the ball.

Come on, just a few minutes and this will be over, give us another win.

I breathe in deeply, kicking the ball with all my might before it shoots straight next to the goalie's head as I hear the time run out in a buzz.

I sigh in relief as the crowd goes wild.

"And that's the game!! Another win for the Vipers this season. We'll see you next time folks, goodnight." The announcer says as my teammates go and lift me, cheering as I grin happily.

Another win for the team. That was a close one.

"Good job, Villanueva!!" A few of my teammates say as I grin, before I notice someone in the crowd.
