With a message from Arlo, Blyke left his room and started walking towards the dormitory courtyard door.
Although he wanted to spend more time in the room that John got back after his departure, he couldn't ignore Arlo's call.
When he reached the door of the dormitory courtyard, he saw Arlo waiting for him there. As he entered Arlo's view, he saluted and approached him. After Arlo answered Blyke's greeting, the two decided to go to a nearby cafe to talk.
After sitting at one of the empty tables in the cafe, Arlo spoke without waiting for the waiter to take their orders from them.
"So, Blyke, how does it feel to be back in your room?" Arlo ask
"Great. Especially being alone in the same old room is even more wonderful." Blyke said
"Well, I'm glad for you. Now let me explain the main reason I called you. Blyke, I want you to be King" Arlo said
Blyke was surprised at what to say in the face of these words.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?" Blyke ask loudly
Not realizing that his voice was loud, Blyke noticed the waiter approaching them when he turned his head, realized his mistake, and apologized to the waiter.
"Hm What d, d, did you w, want?" the waiter asked
After telling the waiter the orders they wanted, the two continued talking.
"You heard me, Blyke. I want you to be king instead of me." Arlo said
"But why? You are the most suitable person to be king. I thought you would want to be king again after John's departure. Especially if we take into account that you have been king for 3 years." Blyke asked
"True, I have been king in this school for about 3 years. But I was dethroned by John, and I will graduate after about 2.5 months. So there's no need to be king again" Arlo said
"Although we don't know when John will come back when he comes back it is certain that he will be king again. At least I want you to be king until he comes." He said
Blyke did not know what to think about these words. Happiness? Pride? Cheerful? No, none of these. Blyke got angry.
"Arlo, do you pity me? Do you suspect that I will dethrone him and become king?" Blyke said
"Blyke, these words I have said may sound heavy to you, but this is the truth. You cannot beat John. Seraphina is the only one at school who can beat him, and luckily, her beating John will not dethrone him. It just makes her rise above him in the rankings. Face the truth, Blyke." Arlo said
Blyke was shocked at these words. Freed by these words, Blyke did not even pay attention to the orders the waiter brought to the table. After the waiter left, he looked at Arlo sipping his coffee and felt in him feelings he had never felt for him before.
'He pities me. The man I respect the most in school pity me.' Blyke thought
"I want to say something, Arlo. Ever since I became Jack, my biggest dream has been to be King after you graduate. But not that way. I don't want to be the temporary King who will warm his throne until John comes." Blyke said angrily
"I refuse your offer, Arlo. I will not be a temporary king until he comes. You will even see, when he comes, I will dethrone him and become permanent king in front of your eyes. I don't understand, and why don't you want to be king again?" He said
Arlo did not know what to say in the face of this question. He could not tell Blyke that he helped Seraphina meet with a secret organization to regain her powers and that he did not want to be king again because he lost faith in authority and hierarchy after that incident.
"Because I'm already dethroned, Blyke. I can't be king again. How do you intend to dethrone John, Blyke? No offense, but John is a god-tier and you're just an elite-tier." Arlo said
"Besides, John didn't beat us all over and over? How logical is it to fight him again?" He said
Blyke could no longer bear what he had heard. At that moment, the only thing on Blyke's mind was to leave that cafe and get fresh air.
"Okay, Arlo, the conversation is over here. I don't want to listen to you anymore. I don't want to be a king, this way at least. And you will see John dethroned before your eyes and become the permanent king. See you later." Blyke said and he came out of the cafe
'Arlo was thinking this about me? He seriously thought I am nothing more than just an elite-tier.' Blyke thought
'I dethrone him, at all costs! But how... AHHHHH I WISH I WOULD USE THAT DRUG THAT DAY AND DETHRONE HIM! ' Blyke thought
With these thoughts in his mind, Blyke went to the dorm room.
