Chapter 6 - Confrontation

Two weeks have passed since Remi's conversation with Blyke and Isen.

In the past 2 weeks, Remi also tried to talk to Arlo and Seraphina about the state of the school. But no matter how hard she tried to talk, she was not successful because the two of them were constantly busy.

Remi has continued to put things in the background for now and to train with friends.

She had to admit that her friends had made serious progress in their abilities. In fact, not only her friends but even herself thought had made serious progress.

It is even too serious because it was not possible to make progress with training in such a short time. She did not want to admit but the battles they all had with John in the past had helped them improve their abilities.

Although she was happy with her time with her friends, the questions that were inside Remi's head never stopped.

Situation of the school continued to return to its old state day by day, and they were just training without doing anything about it.

The safe house was closed in the last 2 weeks. Even though a few students continued to visit there for the first few days, the number of members steadily dwindled day by day and eventually they decided to temporarily close it.

What happened in the last 3 weeks was destroying Remi's hope. As if everything they did was for nothing.

'John was right. Everyone is fake... After John left, they all went back to their old selfish state.' Remi thought

'Blyke, Isen, Arlo and even Seraphina... None of them care about the current state of the school. In fact, Arlo didn't care that much he didn't take the King position again.' Remi thought

Unlike other days, Remi was planning to stay in her room all day, telling her friends that she did not want to train and wanted to be alone for a while.

After spending almost the entire day staring at the ceiling in her room, Remi felt that it wasn't doing any good, but rather that she was getting more desperate and decided to go out for some fresh air.

Before leaving her room, she looked at the clock and saw that it was 5 PM.

'It's 5 o'clock, I think I have enough time to stop by Kovoro Mall. Normally I would call Blyke and Isen, but this time I would rather go alone.' Remi thought

Feeling relief after leaving the school boundaries, Remi started to go towards Kovoro Mall.

Remi began to think about what to do after entering Kovoro Mall. Because she had come here without any plans in mind, and she wandered around the mall for about half an hour.

While she was wandering for half an hour, her attention was drawn to the mask shop in the mall that she hadn't paid attention to before.

'What harm would it do to go in and look? I don't have anything better to do anyway.' Remi entered the mask shop with these thoughts

After Remi entered the mask shop, she looked at the various masks.

As Remi continued to stare at the masks, a familiar mask caught her attention.

'This mask was the mask of a character from Blyke's favorite cartoon, isn't it? Dragon Ball? or something like that. He might be happy if I bought this mask for Blyke.' With these thoughts, Remi turned to the checkout to buy the mask.

When Remi lined up to pay for the mask, she saw a mask on the table that was very familiar from the past 2 months. Joker mask.

When Remi asked the cashier why that mask was specially displayed, she learned from the cashier that it was the best-selling mask in the past 2 months.

Remi's face fell again and she gave up buying the mask in her hand and left the mask shop.

While Remi was wandering inside the store again, she noticed that she hadn't eaten all day long and started heading towards the dining area of the mall.

Remi decided to eat burgers after reaching the food section of the mall, entered the first burger shop she came across, gave her order, and waited for her meal to be prepared.

Remi took up the tray with his food and began searching for an empty table. Luckily all the tables at that moment were full.

After looking a little more, Remi thought that a person was sitting alone at his table and that if she asked, she could sit at her table and eat her meal.

She approached the person sitting alone at his desk and touched his shoulder to get permission from him.

"Excuse me, can I have my meal at your table when there is no other empty table?" Remi asked with a dull voice

When the person sitting alone at his table turned his head to Remi, she encountered the last person he wanted to meet. And she felt all the emotions she had felt in the past 2 months at the same time. Because the reason for all those emotions was sitting in front of her right now.

"JOHN!"
