It has been 12 hours since the Van journey started. It seemed they had only just come half way. Despite this, Leilah continued to drive the van without losing any of her energy.
Leilah continued to drive while the others in the van struggled to clear their minds and pass the time.
On the way, John and Seraphina had played Slappy Pig on their phones so far, and Seraphina fell asleep with the long journey. Besides, John realized that Remi had fallen asleep as well.
But Arlo hadn't even yawned the entire time, let alone sleep. Arlo kept looking at his phone, occasionally checking John out of the corner of his eye. Under Arlo's gaze, John fell uncomfortably asleep.
Bleakburn - 24.04.20XX
With the sudden brake of the van, everyone who was sleeping in the van woke up.
"Wake up, we're here." Leilah said a little loudly
Everyone who was sleeping in Van had woken up. It seems that after John slept, Arlo slept afterward.
As soon as John woke up, he looked at his watch and realized that 10 hours had passed since he had fallen asleep.
'I slept for 10 hours, wow.' John thought
After rubbing his eyes, he realized that Leilah wasn't tired at all.
'This woman drove for 10 hours! It's not normal for her to be this energetic.' John thought
"Leilah, aren't you ever tired? You've been driving for a long time without stopping, it's not normal that you don't get tired." Seraphina asked
"You don't have to worry too much about that." Leilah replied
'Something's going on here, but...' John thought
"Come on, wake up. Enough of this conversation. Let's go inside." Leilah called out to the sleepy
"Where is here?" Remi asked
"This is a pharmaceutical factory owned by Spectre. I brought you here because there are a few things I want you to see. This is not where we're going, we'll get there later." Leilah replied
"It's okay, I've been here before. This is a harmless place." Seraphina added to the answer
"Well then, let's go in." John said and they all went inside the factory.
Once inside the factory, Leilah went and turned on the lights and noticed that there were all kinds of drugs on the tables inside the factory.
John approached and picked up one of the syringes beside the pills.
"Leilah, what is this drug?" John asked
"That? that thing... the reason Seraphina lost her ability." Leilah replied timidly
At that moment, John angrily wanted to tear the syringe in his hand by squeezing it. But he suppressed his anger and put the syringe back on the table.
"And what are the other drugs on this table?" Arlo asked curiously
Everyone gathered around that table and looked at what the drug was.
For John and Remi, this was no stranger to drugs. It was one of the drugs they went out at night to destroy for about a month.
"It's not a big deal. It's just a test product. The other one is... the reason I drove 22 hours" Leilah replied
"So you're saying that an energy booster is being produced here?" Remi asked curiously.
"You could say that too hehe," Leilah said with a slight smile.
