K.C
I haven’t talked with Tori for a week now. Her saying all those stuff hurt. More than it should. I can’t stop thinking about her. She’s freaking messing with my head. I’m getting ready for a party one of my teammates is throwing. My hair is still wet, now I have to blow dry it, fucking hate that. Makes my hair fluffy like a teddy bear. I quickly grab the blow dryer and after 2 minutes it’s dry and looks like I’ve been caught in a tornado. Nothing my hair gel can’t fix. I take a little and apply. I normally don’t like this stuff, but I know it comes in handy in these situations. I just use a little so my hair still looks natural. God I sound like a girl. I look through my closet and find some black pants and a grey silverish shirt, that will do it.
I call Mason to hear if he’s ready. I drive over to him to pick him up. Mason is the best, he’s always had my back no matter what. Even though he seems to be a pig who just wants to bang girls, he’s not like that. He’s the best mate anyone could wish for. Of course I never tell him that, but deep down he knows.
He comes out of the house and opens the door.
“Sup, asshole?” he says as he gets in.
“Not much, jerk.” I say and start driving. He starts talking about something cool he just saw on YouTube and that I definitely need to see it too.
“By the way, I heard Tori was invited too, and the bitch.” He says, and by bitch he means Serena. He hates her. They have never been able to get along. When I told him about the kiss he freaked completely out, he got more mad than I did. He’s been sending her dirty looks every single time he had the chance. He’s glad we done. I told him about Tori, and what happened. I always tell him everything.
“Tori? how does she know Brandon?” I ask. Brandon is the one throwing the party.
“Probably from Omar.” Mason answers looking out the window. Great, not only will Serena be there, but Tori too. I haven’t apologized to Serena for yelling at her in the class, and I haven’t talked with Tori since the day at school. I’m sure this is going to be one heck of a party.
We can already hear the music. Brandon knows how to throw a party. There’s a lot of people here already. I park the car and then Mason and I walk in the house. We are half an hour late, but that we always are. There are lots of girls everywhere, pretty girls, but I just can't focus on anyone but Tori.
“My friend, today you have to expand your horizon and talk to a girl who doesn’t live in that house.”Mason says and leads me in the living room. The music is buzzing and everybody is having a good time. Mason gets himself something to drink and brings me a soda, since I’ll be driving. I see a couch and go to sit there. After a minute a girl, Melissa comes up to me. She’s been trying to get with me ever since I broke up with Serena, she even tried before we broke up, but Serena scared her away, as she always does.
“Hey K.C” she says and squeeze herself in the available seat next to me. She has overdosed herself with perfume.
“Hi Melissa.” I say and smile.
“What you doing here sitting all alone, come up and dance with me.” She says as she leans close because of the music.
“Haha, I rather just sit here, you know I don’t like to dance.” I say. It’s not that I don’t like it, I can’t dance. I would never dance with Serena, she’s a good dancer and next to her I would look like a retarded whale, so I was just the benchwarmer in that case. Melissa just giggles and wrap her arm in mine.
“Nonsense! Come up, you’ll have fun!” she drags me up from the couch and leads me to the dancefloor. Oh god no. She starts dancing, or more grinding on me, I just stand there awkwardly, trying to move, but I don’t know what to do. She grabs my hands and places them on her stomach as her back is facing me. Mason sees me from the bar and starts laughing, fucking asshole. I can’t help but laugh too. This girl is ridiculous and easy. She doesn’t turn me on at all. After a few minutes of grinding I go over to Mason and we both start laughing hysterically. Out of the corner of my eyes I see Tori. She’s wearing a black dress with her hair hanging loose on her shoulders. She looks beautiful. I can’t stop staring. Fuck she looks this way, but I can’t look away. We look at each other, it’s like it’s just us in this room, everything else gets blurry and fades in the background. Then she looks away, breaking the spell. No way in hell she doesn’t like me. You don’t look at a person like that if you don’t like them.
