Serena's pov

Monday morning. Again. I have snoozed my alarm 4 times now, I better get up. 7.14 it says on my display. I hate my life. I pull the blanket over my head and hope that some death angel will come and take me. With sleepy eyes and ruffled hair, I get up and barely awake, I prepare for a new fantastic day full with joy and happiness. I'm being sarcastic by the way, if you didn't get that.

I go through my daily routine, a quick shower, getting all dressed up and my favorite part- breakfast. I go downstairs and find my dad sitting at the table with his phone. He's proberly talking to his new girlfriend, Angelina. God, just her name makes me vomit. Her and her daughter will come over in a couple of weeks, it's going to be great! He is sitting with his suit and name badge on the left side of his suit, Brad Valante it says with block letters. I give my dad a quick smile and grab something to eat, and hurry out of the door. I refuse to sit and hear him sugar talk with her. Now I can't even enjoy my breakfast time, super.

Outside K.C is waiting, my boyfriend. He's leaning against his new red Porsche looking all cool and smooth, but I know that he's upset with me.

"New car?" I ask to ease the mood.

"Hmm" is all I get. His dad owns a car shop, so of course K.C takes advantage of that and gets the car he wants. He barely looks at me, he just goes and sit at the driver seat and waits for me to get in. We have been fighting a lot lately. It seems like that's the only thing we are good at. None of us say anything, we are sitting in silence and headed towards school.

Finally, we are at the school. It couldn't get any more awkward than that. He's giving me the silent treatment.

"I pick you up at 3" he says and leaves.

Great, standing all alone in the parking lot, looking like an idiot.

"He's still mad at you?" I hear a voice behind me. It's Jennifer, my best friend since kindergarten. I like her outfit, and she has tried out a new hairstyle, and maybe used a bit too much mascara, but that makes her blue eyes shine.

"Apparently. He won't talk to me" I say wondering when he will get over it.

"You said some pretty nasty things to him though, I understand why he's mad" she says.

There was a party Friday night, and I got pretty drunk. He hates when I get too drunk, I get totally out of control and say and do all kinds of shit. He tried to make me stop drinking, but as the rebellion I am, I got mad at him and scolded him and apparently said we should break up if he couldn't handle me.

I just nod and agree with Jen, she's right. That's why I am going to talk to him after school.

The bell rings, and the hall gets crowded with students. The math class begins. I'm not the biggest fan of school, and if it wasn't because of my dad, I would skip every lesson. I sit at the back of class, plug my earphones in, and disappear into my own little world. My math teacher is the only teacher who doesn't send me to the principal's office for not participating in class. I wish the rest of the teachers could be more like him.

The time couldn't possibly go any slower. The second lesson has just begun. Mr. West, our English teacher, is the worst of all teachers. He really knows how to push someone's buttons. I sit in the middle of the class and look like I have done the homework for today, even though I haven't. I try to look interested about the crap he is talking about.

"So can someone give me a short summary of the text you were supposed to read today?" Crap. Don't make eye contact, don't make eye contact.

"Serena" he says.
