This school doesn't suck so much as I thought. Omar and Silver makes me feel like I belong. No one knows about my sister or my past, so they don't look funnily at me.

The lesson has begun and I have English now. I think my teacher's name is Mr. West and from what I heard from Omar and Silver, he isn't a heartwarming teacher. He comes in the class, and puts his bag on the floor next to the catheter. He walks up to me and shakes my hand.

"Nice to meet you miss James, I'm your English teacher Mr. West." He says, with formal manners.

"Nice to meet you too, sir" I reply. He gives me a book.

"This is the book we are reading right now, I don't expect you to read all of it, but it would be a good idea." He says. It looks like one heavy book, I don't think I can get through it all. I guess I have to make time for it.

5 minutes after the class has begun, Serena opens the door, and try to sneak in without being caught, but in vain.

"The lesson began 5 minutes ago, miss Valante." Mr. West says cold and without looking up from his book. I can see the anger and frustration in his eyes, but he is calm.

"Sorry, I had things to do." She says- totally indifferent. He looks up.

"More important than school?"

She sighs and I don't think this is the first time they have had this conversation.

"Yes, now that you ask." She says impudent.

"Well, I have more important things to take care of than sitting here and hear your excuses. Go over to the principal's office, now. " He says harsh.
She takes her bag.

"Whatever." She says before leaving. Someone was in a bad mood...

Mr. West continues his lesson.

"Our next topic is about Romeo and Juliet." He says. Yes! I love Romeo and Juliet. I love their story, it's just so beautiful. Their love, and how they would kill themselves for each other, it's epic. I get goose bumps every time I see the movie or read the book.

"I assume you all know who Romeo and Juliet is? He says rhetorically.

"Can someone please give a brief summary of the story?" He looks around; no one wants to say anything. I sneak my hand up. He looks surprised.

"Yes, miss James" he smiles.

...

The class went much greater than expected. Mr. West is a great teacher; I don't know why Omar don't like him. I think he's great. After class, Mr. West and I discussed the message of Romeo and Juliet. We talked about if it really was a love story between a man and a woman. There had some speculations about it. Some thought it was a story about two men falling in love but because it happened in a society not accepting homosexuality. That would explain why they used a woman and a man. This would explain their "forbidden love".

I walk down the hall seeing Serena and K.C making out. And great, right in front of my locker. I guess they made up after last night. I walk up to them trying to make myself noticeable, but its not really working.

*cough*.. *cough*

They still don't notice me. I don't want to interrupt them, but I need my books and I'm already late for class. I really don't have time for this. I squeeze myself in between them and my locker.

"What the hell" she says irritated. She steps away from K.C, turning my way.

"Sorry about that. I need my books," I say, trying to sound like I'm actually sorry.
