Serena
I planned out everything, how to get K.C back. How to remind him of what we had. It’s so going to work, trust me. I just need to be the same girl as he fell in love with. I already talked with Larry, telling him that I thought he was doing a good job in class. I need to be nice all the time, not just in front of him. I need to spread the word. I just failed this morning because of Neal, I wanted to show interest in school too, but with that asshole of a teacher it’s hard. I knew I should’ve watched my tv-show in my own room so he couldn’t see me. Or just open my books perhaps.
I have cheerleader practise now, and I know K.C is there too because of his basketball. Thank god for the renovation, cause now we’ll be in the same hall. I walk in to find the girls already sitting on the floor waiting for me. Shit, I’m 10 minutes late. The basketball players are already in full swing. I quickly run over to the girls.
“I’m so sorry! I lost track of time, but I’m here now, so let’s get started already!” I say enthusiastically and with my sweet voice.
“Just start with the warm up, then we will practise our dance.” I say and they start running. I can see some of the basketball players looking at the girls. They are all a bunch of horny guys. It’s like they haven’t seen girls before. Good I decided to wear long leggings today, cause damn the boys are just staring at some of the girls with short shorts.
“Guys, keep your head in the game, you can drool over the ladies later!” Their coach is shouting making them turn back their heads. I see K.C running on the field. I always loved seeing him play. He’s sweating and I don’t know why, but he seems a bit off. Like he is angry or something. He just throws the ball real hard in the hoop without trying to make it go in.
After the girls have run, we practise some of the moves again. I make sure to tell everyone that they are doing a great job, loud enough for K.C to hear it. Then I see them going over to the benches, which means breaktime.
“Okay girls! You get a break for 15 minutes!” I say. They all getting something to drink. I quickly go over to K.C. I’ve been talking more and more to him, since we became ‘friends’.
“Hey.” I say as I reach him.
“Hi.” He says and wipes away his sweat with a towel. God he looks hot. Him wearing the red basketball shirt showing off his toned and tanned arms and his hair looking like that always makes me weak in my knees. I just stare at him breathing deeply. He just looks awkwardly back, waiting for me to say something. I shake my head trying to get myself under control. He will be yours again soon, I say to myself. God I miss him so friggin much.
I try to come up with something to say, but it’s hard to think straight when he looks like that.
“You played good.” I end up saying. Not the most smart thing to say..
“You call that good? You really don’t have clue on what good is.” he jokes, but it seems forced. “No not really, I just didn’t know what else to say.. It kind of sucked, you didn’t get the ball in once. Not that I was keeping an eye on you or anything.” I say. I totally was. He lets out a chuckle. He doesn’t seem fine.
“You okay?” I say worried and walk in closer. “Yeah, I’m fine, why?” He says acting cool. I just feel like hugging him, I miss being close to him, just lying on his chest while he plays with my hair.
“You have that look on your face.” I say. He looks at me and furrow his eyebrow in confusion.
“What look?” he asks.
“That look you get when something is bothering you.” I say. I know all his facial expressions. After knowing someone for so long you can’t help but not to. Even though I’ve seen new sides of him after he slept with me, he’s still the same.
