"Dude, you have four days left, please don't waste it on being like this. You are going to L.A, there are plenty of other girls there." Mason says trying to cheer me up. I really can't think of anything else right now. I knew that it would happen, but I didn't expect it to feel like this.

"Think of how hot and tan they are, man! Like those hot girls you see in the music videoes, you will forget all about Tori once you are there." He says and really put a big effort into this. It still doesn't sound appealing.

"You're not helping Mason."

"Dude, stop being a cunt. Enjoy your last days here. We all knew you were doomed from the beginning. Now cheer up and take the controller and play this freaking game with me." He says and hands me the controller. He wants to play some lame shooting game that he likes. Maybe I should stop being a cunt as he says. I don't want to spend my last days like this. I take the controller and turn it on.

"How is it going with Sadie?" I ask him just to change the subject. I still haven't met the girl and he's still texting her.

"It didn't work out with her" He says and looks at the screen.

"What? Why?" I ask him. It's weird, I saw him text her the other day.

"We wanted different things, but enough about that let's go out or something tonight"

"Why are you always changing the subject, when we talk about her?" I say. He always does that, he is being so damn secretive about this, it just makes me want to know more. He's not the shy type, so this is not anything like him. We met his sister the other day and she said something about a girl staying over at their place, a brunette, and he quickly changed the subject. From what she said, it sounded like it wasn't the first time 'Sadie' had been there.

"Because it's over - that's why, she's just a girl I slept with, that's all." He says a bit annoyed.

"Alright dude, calm down." I say and put on my jacket. "Let's go out."

"Alright, just a second, I need to use the bathroom." He says and leaves. I sit down on the bed again, waiting for him to finish. A beeping sound just came, and it is not from my phone. It's Mason. He left it on my bed. Someone is calling him. S it says on the screen. Sadie? I want to pick it up, but he'll just be mad. I just ignore it, then he gets a text.

Jerkson, pick the fuck up. Remember my wallet, give it later when you're free.

Jerkson? I only know one person who calls him that, and it happens that her name also starts with S. But it can't be her. He hates her, right? He would never be with her. Sadie probably calls him jerkson too. But why would she still text him? He said they were done. I really want to believe that it is a girl called Sadie, but I'm not stupid. Why wouldn't he just write Sadie instead of S, and why haven't I met her?

"You ready, bro?" Mason says. He just came of the bathroom. I look at him for a second then smile. "Yeah, let's go." I say and we take off to the beach.

It's a bit crowded today, the weather's good and it's friday night. We find two empty seats at the outdoor bar and claim them to be ours. Mason orders something to drink and I just order a soda.

"Hey Mace, I been thinking about something after Tori and I broke up." I say and look at him. He takes a sip from his glass and looks at me, waiting for me to continue.

"Maybe I shouldn't have broken up with Serena." I say and he almost gets choked on the little liquid he drank.

"What?" He asks disbelieving. "It was the best thing you could ever do man!"
