Chapter 1

Nagising ako dahil sa alarm clock ko na nasa bedside table ko. Bumangon na ako at pumunta sa banyo para maligo. Pagkalabas ko sakto namang may kumatok sa kwarto ko.

"Come in."

"Good morning miss reeve, you're grandmother told me to wake you up. The breakfast is ready."

I've been living with my grandparents here in London since I was a child. Pero hindi daw ako dito ipinanganak. My parents and brother are in the Philippines and I'm here with my grandparents. I'm an upcoming college student and I'm planning to take BSBA-M since I want to help my father to manage our company.

"Okay. I will go down in a minute."

Tumango lamang siya at lumabas na. Nag-ayos muna ako ng sarili bago bumaba at pumunta sa dining area.

I saw lola and lolo on the dining table, waiting for me. Lumapit ako sa kanila at isa-isa silang hinalikan sa pisnge.

"Goodmorning grandparents!"

"Goodmorning, iha. Come on, sit down." Sabi ni Lola Cordelia.

Umupo naman ako at sabay-sabay kaming nagpray before we started to eat.

"By the way, iha. You're father called a while ago and asked if you're already awake. But I told him that you're still asleep. You should call him, iha. I think he has something to tell you."

"Okay po, lolo. I will call him later after we eat."

I quickly finished my breakfast at nagpaalam na akong babalik sa kwarto.

Pagkapasok ko ay agad kong tinawagan si daddy. After a three rings. He answered the call.

"Hey, daddy! Good morning!"

"Hi sweetie, how are you?"

"I'm fine dad. I just finished my breakfast."

"Oh good to hear that."

"Dad, lolo said that you called and you're looking for me a while ago. Is there something wrong?"

"No, sweetie. Actually napag-usapan na namin ito ng mommy mo na since you're already in college, why don't you study here in the Philippines... with your brother?"

"Really?! Oh my God, are you serious?!"

"Yes of course anak. Gusto mo ba? If ayaw mo, it's oka-"

"No! Dad it's fine... It's totally fine!"

"Okay, I will tell your lolo to book your flight."
