A/N: I'm back in the groove everybody! I'm ahead on my chapters again! Yay!

***Slight Trigger Warning for this chapter, you have been warned.***

***May's p.o.v***

Tears ran down my cheeks as I covered my ears to try to block out those horrible scenes from my head. It was overwhelming, it felt like the voices were getting louder and the images were playing faster and faster. I felt like screaming, when suddenly a voice cut through the chaos like a knife.

"He's not your father."

"Gajeel?" I muttered.

Suddenly, an old memory replayed through my mind.

***Flashback***

"He may have done some bad things and made some mistakes, but he is not at all like your father. Do you know why?" Gajeel asked me.

I shook my head.

Gajeel smiled. "Because he feels remorse. He regrets his actions," Gajeel stated.

Gajeel looked up with a smile. "The night of the parade, when he was leaving, he was crying. That alone proves to me that he isn't a bad guy. He just made a mistake. Your father, never regrets his actions, never feels remorse. That's not Laxus, that's not your brother," Gajeel stated sternly.

***Flashback end***

I snapped awake at his words.

'Gajeel is right. What am I thinking?! Laxus isn't like my father. Laxus is no monster,' I thought as I stood up.

'Laxus is kind, protective, and loving, and he is the best brother I could've asked for,' I told myself as I started running back to the others.

'Hold on everybody, I'm coming to help!' I thought as I ran.

As I was running back, I smiled, "Thank you Gajeel."

***Laxus's p.o.v***

I bashed away another goon and zapped away another as we tried to clear away all the goons.

We had to get to May. I had to get to May. I had to talk to her. I had to. I grinded my teeth in frustration at the thought of what she must think of me.

Runes knocked away a goon in front of me, making me regain focus.

"Laxus, you have to focus," Freed stated, making me turn to him.

"We will find May and we will fix this," Freed stated firmly.

I nodded. 'Yeah, it's not just affecting me, it's affecting them too. We will find May and fix this. Freed's right,' I thought before refocusing on the fight before me.

"Lightning Dragon: Iron Hammer!" I shouted, destroying a massive wave of goons.

"Pathetic little fairies," the man from before, the dark guildmaster, muttered to himself.

Pointing right towards Laxus and the Thunder Legion, who were fighting back-to-back, he smirked.

"And here lies Fairytail's famous Thunder Legion," he smirked before he fired.

A blast of magic energy released from his fingers like a bullet.

Knocking away another goon, I turned my head at the sound of the blast and widened my eyes.

Blood.

Blood is what I saw.

Blood is what I saw as fear and terror engulfed me at that moment as I watched a now stained blue jacket hit the cold stone floor.

The Thunder Legion and I stared in horror.

"Oh well, looks like I killed the little one instead," the dark guildmaster shrugged.

Rage consumed me in that second as I shot the biggest bolt of lightning at him, not caring if he died from it. He collapsed to the ground immediately at the hit.

"May!" Ever gasped in anguish as she and the others rolled her over.

May coughed up a bunch of blood as she was rolled over.

She could barely keep her eyes open as she weakly stared back at us.

Tears rolled down all of our faces at the sight.

May tried to speak, but only ended up coughing up more blood. I snapped at the sight, scooping her into my arms and running as fast as I could.

"Laxus!" The others called out, but I didn't stop, I couldn't stop. There was a gaping hole in my little sister stomach.

My little sister, May, I just can't let her die.

***May's p.o.v***

Tears were streaming down Laxus's face as he ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

"La-xus," I weakly uttered out as I coughed.

"Stop talking," Laxus stated as lightning sparked around him.

Laxus jumped into the air and he became lightning as we raced across Fiore.

"I'm sorry," I muttered as my eyes started to close.

"May! Don't close your eyes! You have to hang in there!" Laxus shouted.

I struggled, but kept my eyes open as I glanced at Laxus, who was fixated on our destination.

My vision was starting to get blurry, but I could see the determination in my brother's eyes.

"You're not- a monster," I uttered out as Laxus widened his eyes.

"You're my big brother," I smiled as Laxus's tears splashed across my face.

"Thank you Laxus..." I whispered out as my eyes grew too heavy.

I felt Laxus land as my eyes closed.

"I-"

"Wendy!" Laxus yelled desperately.

"-love you," I whispered out, before everything faded away.
