Gajeel is assigned to spy on Raventail for Master Makarov when he finds Ivan's little secret. Ivan's daughter, Maylene Dreyar, and poor Maylene is afraid of everything. Will Gajeel be able to take Maylene home? Will Laxus be able to help his sister...
I panted as I hung limply from the restraints. I could feel my magic slowly draining out of me as my life was drifting away.
I didn't have any energy to fight back anymore as I could only hang there and feel it happen.
Tap. Tap.
I turned my gaze at the sound to see none other than the Ice King himself, my new father trek towards me. He now wore a long blue king's cape and an ice crown over top of his old attire.
He stopped in front of me before he smiled viciously. "Eyes wide my dear, I have something to show you," the Ice King smirked before pressing a button in his hand.
Suddenly, flickers of lacrima feed appeared on the wall as I weakly lifted my head up to see them.
My eyes widened and I gasped in fear at the sight.
The lacrima showed footage all around Fiore of the land and its people freezing over. Guilds, civilians, and even the Magic Counsel. All of it turning to ice.
"No..." I gasped.
The footage then changed again and this time it showed Gray trying to fight against the other ice mages as they tried to destroy the statues around Gray. The statues that were my family, Fairytail.
"No..." I gasped as I shook my head, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Your friend there won't last long against my minions, especially as he tries to protect your worthless guild, but this, this part is my favorite," the Ice King smirked as he turned off the lacrima feed and opened the giant window in front of me.
"No!" I cried out as tears fell down my cheeks.
The Ice King laughed.
Outside, everything was frozen solid, but right next to the fortress there were two very familiar ice statues.
Laxus and Gajeel.
Tears stream down my face as I felt more and more helpless just looking at them.
"Beautiful, isn't it? And to think all of this is thanks to you. So, I thank you my dear. Soon, the entire world, will be covered in ice," the Ice King laughed before he left.
I could only choke and cry as I stared helplessly at the floor.
'It's my fault. My fault. My fault,' I cried and cried as the words rang through my head endlessly.
My eyes grew heavy as my magic continued to be drained out of me.
Then, my eyes closed.
"So why are you still hesitating?" Laxus's voice rang through my head.
"I- I don't understand. How do you guys control it?" I asked.
"Perhaps it's because we all have something to fight for, and our magic supports us. The dragon inside supports us. Like a treasure a dragon wants to protect," Laxus voiced.
"You have something you wish to protect?" I asked.
"Well duh, you and the rest of the Thunder Legion, not to mention the guild. You guys are everything to me," Laxus laughed.
"Me too," I smiled.
I gasped opening my eyes.
'It's my magic that is doing this. My magic, not his. It's my choice, and I have no reason to hesitate. I'm a dragon slayer with a treasure I have to protect. My friends, my family, and my world!'
I let out of breath before I started breathing everything in.
'It's my magic, my power, and I'm taking it all back,' I thought as I breathed it all in.
The icing from around Fiore suddenly stopped before the process started reversing, all heading back to its source.
Suddenly, I felt the machine slow in its draining process before it couldn't keep up anymore. The machine started cracking and freezing as the temperatures were exceeding its limit.
"What? What's going on?" the Ice King questioned from outside as ice everywhere was being absorbed back into the fortress.
My body started glowing the more and more ice magic that returned to me.
The machine finally reached its limit as everything cracked, broke, and fell apart, the fortress falling apart along with it.
I fell to the ground landing outside the fortress onto my feet.
Icicles arose by my feet as the icy wind whipped around me. My eyes sharpened and glowed like the northern lights as I glared at the Ice King before me.
"You're right, there's only room for one ruler of ice, and this ruler, protects her family!" I roared.
