I could tell my answer intrigued the guild master. She probably expected a negative answer, or a straight positive one.
"I will go write him a letter now, then. I would prefer to keep you in the Guild, but you do have the Emperor's admission, so I don't think I'm allowed to do that. You might be summoned for additional information at a later point. Koko-san here will be working as intermediary, if she is fine with it."
"I'm fine with it. Helps me keep an eye on her."
I didn't like that they felt the need to keep an eye on me, but I couldn't blame them for it, nor could I really say anything about it.
"Then, we should do that. We will contact you when we require her presence."
Koko-sensei nodded and stood up, so I followed. She shook the Guild Master's hand, and we left. As we went downstairs, I noticed Souji's group still at the table. Riogh noticed us and waved for us to come. Thankfully, Koko-sensei seemed fine with it, so I went to them.
"Did everything go well?"
"Not really, honestly. Though, I guess it's already a good thing that nothing really bad happened."
The silence worried me a bit, as if I said something I shouldn't have. Perhaps something bad was about to happen and I wasn't aware of it?
"W-Well, you could see it that way," Riogh finally said.
"Y-Yeah, it's one way to see it. In any case, I wanted to ask you something," Souji continued.
"Go ahead."
"Do you know what you want to do after you graduated?"
"To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure. Why, are you going to offer me a spot in your team?"
"That was the plan, yes. If we can keep in contact and train together some more, I'm sure we'd work together nicely."
"Well, I'll think about it. It's in quite a few years, after all. I might change my mind."
"You're right. We might change our minds as well, in case of disbanding, or retiring, or changing what we do. I still think we should keep in touch, though."
"Sure! I'm not sure how, but we should."
"Honestly, the best you could do is regular letters, but I'm not sure if the academy would allow you," Koko-sensei commented. "Considering these three men are adventurers, they might not be able to write regularly either, or even receive the letters."
"I guess just don't forget about the other?"
"I guess. Anyways, we have to go back now."
"Well, thank you for the talks. It's been nice seeing you three again. Maybe when I'm available we can do some more training."
"That'd be nice, yeah! Have a nice day and good luck at school!" Riogh said.
I waved at them as we left. The way back to the academy was awkwardly silent as glares from passers-by still overwhelmed me. As we arrived in front of the academy, Koko-sensei spoke up.
"I'll check up on you tomorrow. Until then, no summoning anything, okay?"
"That's quite the harsh limitation, but that's fine by me."
"Good girl. See you tomorrow then."
She then left, leaving me alone. I went directly to my room and collapsed on the bottom bed. My summon was still on my head, worrying me that I had done something wrong, but I figured it'd be fine if I just didn't tell anyone and it didn't do anything bad. I started thinking through everything that happened again and realised some things didn't add up.
