The book didn't go very in-depth. It described the creature, being little more than an oversized moth. It mentioned its characteristics, most specifically the four different variants of them, being Earth moths, Fire moths, Ice moths, and Wind moths. It differentiated them, primarily via color and habitat.

It was about all the book explained. The instructions on summoning were very bare-bones, explaining the process of summoning, rather than summoning them in particular. It saddened me a bit, but I figured the students should be capable of learning it by themselves if they are in their third year. I wanted to know whether I could attempt to learn the summoning in the library, but I'd require permission, meaning I still had to get through the rest of the day. Looking through the window, it seemed like midday.

As I thought about it, I heard the library's door open, and saw Mark enter. I had to get there as fast as I could, so I forgot to think and instinctively jumped off the balcony straight down to the first floor. The landing was a bit louder than I expected, but it was overall quite smooth.

"Hey, Mark, I have an important question to ask."

"Lilia, what was that?" he nearly screamed in my face.

"Huh?"

"Why did you jump off the third floor? What even happened?"

"Wait, did I?"

I tried remembering what very recently happened, and realised I had indeed jumped off the third floor. At first, I was concerned on why I had done that, but quickly changed my focus.

"I did. Well, I'm fine at least. I hope the library's fine as well."

"...Why are you worried about the building?"

"Well, if I didn't feel much from jumping off, it means most of the force from the landing was transferred to the building, right?"

His look of worry and confusion told me he didn't understand what I had just said. I wasn't sure how to go from there, hoping not to create problems for myself.

"Well, anyways. Thank you for the lunch every day. Could I ask a question, though?"

"Don't try to change the topic like that, girl. What did you just do!? And why are you perfectly fine after such a high jump!? Did you use blood magic?"

"Ah, hum, yes. I don't know why I did that, I just did it. Can I ask my question now or not?"

"Alright," he said after sighing. "What did you want to know?"

"Is it okay if I start learning how to summon elemental moths?"

"Elemental moths? Aren't those notoriously difficult to summon?"

"I don't know, I found a book that briefly talked about them and I'm interested, so I want to try and learn."

"I wouldn't be able to tell you like that, I'll have to ask the referent in summoning magic."

"Ah. Well, alright. I'll do other things until tomorrow, then. Hopefully you can ask throughout the day."

"I should find some time, yes. We're announcing who will be the new students today, so it's not nearly as active."

"Thank you. Oh, and again, thank you for lunch this whole week."

"Just doing what we agreed on."

He put the lunch in my hands and left without another word, worrying me I had somehow upset or hurt him. I thought about it a little more and figured I probably just worried him after jumping from the third floor and being perfectly fine. I ate my lunch, then went back to keep searching for information on elemental moths.
