When I came back to my senses, I felt the same way as I did when I woke up in the cell. I put my right hand on my head to try and calm it down slightly, then opened my eyes and reflexively inspected the place. I had been put in another room, very different looking. Previously, it was a greyed-out zone, reminiscent of a prison. This time, the walls were white, while the ground and ceiling were a beautiful sky blue. I also noticed I had been placed inside of a bed, and the layout of the room felt oddly familiar. I looked around some more and saw a door at the end of something similar to a hallway. As I looked at it, it opened. A young and pretty woman in white clothing came through, then stared at me as I stared back at her.
"L-Lilia-san?" she said.
"That's me," I replied.
"So...that means you are finally awake?"
"Finally...?"
"You have been asleep for just about a week, Lilia-san."
"...You've got to be kidding me," I asked, in disbelief.
"No, I'm not. Takara-sama personally came to this health care unit to maintain you alive and well through his holy magic."
My mind suddenly went numb as I wanted to ask what had happened, or why I have been losing consciousness recently at all. I could not move my mouth, and I felt myself lose control over my own body. I found myself unable to move an arm, or even my head. I was blocked, staring at her, barely breathing.
"Lilia-san...? Is something wrong?"
I tried as I could to control my body, but it would simply not respond. I needed to nod a yes, no matter what, because something had gone wrong. I attempted as much as possible, using all of my possible physical strength.
"Lilia-san, please stop staring at me. If something is wrong, I will go fetch Tanaka-sama, but please say it clearly."
I had to answer no matter what, so I resigned myself to having to use magic to move my own body. As soon as I attempted the spell on myself, I felt my brain instantly snap, and I lost consciousness once more.
When I regained consciousness, I looked around myself, struggling to even keep my eyes open. I could see from the corner of my eye the lady from earlier, as well as a blonde man, with his hands over my chest, as they were glowing a very faint yellow.
"LIlia-san!" exclaimed the lady.
"H-Hi..." I said after a lot of effort.
"Can you move?" asked the man.
I tried to sit up, and even if I could physically move, I wasn't capable of sitting up. I slightly bent myself forward, putting my arm behind me, but they were not capable of holding my weight. I fell back onto the bed, and replied, speaking painfully and slowly:
"I can move, but I can't support myself."
"Just what happened to you..." he said.
"We will have to monitor and take care of her until she recovers her strength. She was caught in the explosion a few weeks back," explained the lady.
A few weeks back? Didn't she say I had been sleeping here for about a week only? How did so much time go by?
As I started thinking more deeply, my head followed by hurting me deeply. I moved my hand onto my head, reflexively, which only made my body hurt more.
"Do you have a headache? You shouldn't move right now," said the lady. "Tanaka-sama, can't you help her with her headache?"
"I would be able to if I didn't have to spend such a ridiculous amount of magicules for a simple healing spell. I do not know what, but something is interfering with my magic. I have never heard of someone having a natural resistance to magic, so I think it's the pendant."
