As we arrived in the new field, Father had told me the principle of summoning, which was the understanding of what you were trying to summon. We spent the rest of the day together trying to make me understand the anatomy and functioning of a goblin, even skipping lunch. I managed to create an amorphous summoning circle, meaning I was capable of using summoning magic. However, the circle wasn't stable and wasn't properly formed either, so it was nothing that could be called progress, besides learning that I could use summoning magic.

Dusk fell onto the world, and we went back home. Along the way, I was thinking back at what had happened prior, even if there wasn't much time to. I saw what I was capable of, but it did not tell me the full extent of it. As I had just started learning about magic and only tried once, I could only expect much more destructive powers than what I had faced. I assumed I could potentially destroy the entire planet by entirely stripping it of any water molecules. The thought scared me to the core, so I took it upon myself to pledge I would never use any kind of water magic, making it akin to an addendum to myself.

Once arrived, Father told me to go ahead and take a bath while he prepared dinner. I obliged and did as such, thinking further about how important it was that I never used this destructive power that I had. When I got out of the bath, dinner was almost ready, so we simply ate. The food felt awkward to me, but for a reason I could not seem to understand. One thing I was sure of was that it wasn't due to the taste. We talked about magic some more, how I could improve, and he went ahead and washed himself before going to sleep.

During the night, in my room, I tried some more to learn about summoning magic. The same results were appearing, where I was capable of creating a summoning circle on the ground, but it wasn't properly formed. I tried to think of ways I could change the way it was, but I wasn't able to, and went to sleep when the moon was high into the sky.

I ended up oversleeping the next day, and Father had to come wake me up. Realizing I had overslept made me apologize profusely, expecting severe punishment.

"You don't have to apologize so much," he said.

"Huh?" I stood back up from my bowing position, looking at him.

"There is no reason to apologize. If you slept so much, it means you needed it."

I looked at him even more confused than before.

"Are you not going to punish me for oversleeping?"

"Why would I?" he asked with a confused tone.

"Oh. Because of your past," he said after a short silence. "You're not a slave anymore, Lilia."

"...Right, I'm sorry I forgot about that," I replied, a bit disappointed at myself.

He laughed.

"It's not like you'll change in one day. Choose some clothes and come downstairs for breakfast"

He then left the room, leaving me confused as to why he laughed like that. I also found myself wondering what 'breakfast' was, until old memories of my previous life sprung back. I got out of bed, then went instinctively to what I figured was the wardrobe. I opened it and saw it was filled with dresses of all kinds of frills. I looked at it in disgust, sighed and looked for other clothes. Sadly, there were no other types, so I picked the least eye catching dress I could find and put it on.

I opened the door, preparing to leave the room, then remembered I had forgotten to put on panties. I closed the door and searched for a drawer for a bit, until I found it. I opened it and was taken by the sight of a lot of different kinds of panties. It made me feel very awkward, but I reluctantly chose the first kind I could find and put it on, then went downstairs.
