I didn't need to wait for Father to explain to me what the letters were about anymore.I continued through the letter to try and read what it was about, until Father called for me.
"Yes?" I answered.
"By the look on your face, you seem to know what this letter is about," he said.
"I think I do, at least."
"That makes things easier. Let's get things ready, then."
"Alright, I guess?" I replied, unsure of what was to get ready.
Father greeted the man and we walked out towards our house, silently. Eventually, as we reached the outer forest, I decided to ask:
"Father, can I ask something?"
"Go ahead," he offered, seemingly slightly confused.
"You talked about getting things ready, but what exactly do you plan on doing?"
"Isn't it obvious?" he asked.
"I guess not since I'm asking," I replied.
"We're going to go visit St. Freyja Academy."
It took a short moment of thinking to realize what had just been said.
"Wait, do you plan on going there directly?" I shouted.
"Yes, I do. This way, you will be able to see the place with your own eyes while we take care of the inscription."
A lot of questions were flowing through my head at this point, but I didn't want to swarm Father as I could tell we were arriving back home soon. As such, I decided on the single question that I felt was the most important.
"Well, since you want to visit the academy, when do you plan on doing it?"
"Probably tomorrow or the next day."
This answer surprised me due to the suddenness of the decision.
"Really? Isn't it a little too early?"
"We need to get going to make sure we have a spot, so I don't want to delay at all."
"That...does make sense," I confirmed after a short silence.
At this point, we were about to enter the house, so I didn't add anymore comments. However, that quickly proved to be a bad decision.
"Kyo-kun, we're home. Can you help Lilia with baggages? We're going to St. Freyja Academy tomorrow in the morning," Father shouted as he entered.
I was taken aback by the sudden request.
"I-I can make my own luggage!" I said after a short silence.
"I know you can, but you'll see in a minute why I asked Kyo to do it."
As he was telling me to wait, Kyo arrived and asked what was up. Father quickly explained, and his expression made me slightly worried. He looked heavily concerned, which made me wonder on what exactly Father meant. Kyo came to my room with me, having grabbed a suitcase to put luggage in.
"Can I ask something?" I brought up after having closed the door.
"What is it?" Kyo replied.
"Is something wrong with St. Freyja Academy or something? You seemed oddly preoccupied when Father mentioned we were going there."
"You sure are sharp, aren't you," he commented, before sighing and explaining further. "I am indeed preoccupied by something, but it isn't nearly as important as you might seem to think."
