It dawned on me that the reason for that might be due to my standing as a goddess. My magic circuit was simply far above anything else, seemingly even being above the rank given to gods. However, I remembered my summoning magic to only be SS rank. I wondered what this vast difference in rank could mean, although I didn't get to think about it for long.
"Well, I'm sure you'll still be able to grow in this school. Additionally, you'll be able to learn about other magics, right?"
"Yeah. I'll be learning a lot in regards to summoning magic too, I'm sure."
"W-Well, we'll see. Let's go to the training area."
I nodded and we entered. Right before I stepped foot in, I received a notification from my summon. Apparently, the two humans noticed it and started running, and it wasn't sure what to do. I thought for a second and told it to make sure they're fine from out of their sight. Afterwards, I ran in to try and look like I wasn't late.
"So, I noticed you managed to summon moths. Could you summon one?"
"Eh, sure."
I quickly summoned one in front of us and made it stay still. I expected more information or directives, but was instead met with a long and awkward silence. As I turned around to look at the teacher, I noticed a look of confusion adorning her face.
"Y-You didn't just summon a mid-level summon without even focusing or chanting, did you?" she finally exclaimed.
"I've actually been practicing that for the last few days. It was tiring, but I got used to it, and now it's relatively easy for me."
She shook her head and looked back at the summon, currently resting on the ground.
"What else did I expect from the daughter of the Grand Summoner... Well, let's move on."
I was a little worried that I had done something wrong, or that I had done something too well. Considering the power of my magic and my wishes for a relatively normal life, it could be detrimental.
"Let me look at it for a bit," she continued.
She looked over at the moth for a while, checking it in different ways without ever touching it. After some time, she came back next to me and explained:
"As you said, it's not elemental, but there are a few other weird things about it. First of all, the abdomen is a little too small for the size you summoned. Additionally, its wings are a little too large. I'm surprised it managed to become corporeal."
"I didn't have much in terms of reference or help, so I guess it's because of that that the proportions are a bit off..."
"It's still very impressive work to be able to create a corporeal summon with such proportion problems. Well, it's corporeal so that's what matters."
She put her hand in front and slowly summoned her own creature. It took several seconds but she ended up summoning a moth that looked similar to mine, although it was smaller and red. This one stayed put into the air.
"This is a Fire Moth. Elemental moths are difficult to summon because you have to create summoning magicules that have a certain element to them. As you know, every creature has magicules inside of them. However, just as humanoids do, they also have affinities. Affiliation is kind of like a new species, where they evolved so that they only have one affinity, but it's much stronger than otherwise."
"So in order to make my summoned moth into an elemental moth, I have to make it be able to have magicules inside its body of a certain element?"
"Not exactly, no. You have to summon it with a special affinity. It's a little hard to explain, so it's usually kept for third and fourth year students that have very good affinity in summoning magic."
