Fifty seven
Crystalline Skies"Sobrang busy naman ni Ms. HR, ano? Kamusta naman ang first interview kanina?" Tanong nito saakin.
"It went good, actually madalas namang nagtatanong yung superior ko. So madali dali pa ang trabaho ko, taga alis kabit ng staple wire." Pagbibiro ko.
Actually I was the one kept asking since that was tasked by my superior, medyo nahirapan din ako sa pagiisip ng itatanong noong una but eventually I had a good grasp on it. And it went smoothly afterwards, sana ay patuloy na ganoon. I need to do some second evaluation with the passed interviewees.
"I really love your chill sense of humor, but I heard with your superior that you did a good job. Thats's great, mukhang mapapalitan mo nga agad ako after five years."
"Is that so well then, mukhang hindi naman pala ako mahihirapan." I joked.
It's already mid week, it's been three days since I went home and I feel relaxed here more than anywhere else. I can freely roam around do some leisure, walang umaabala saakin. My mom's flight will be pushed next month, may kailangan pa daw kasing asikasuhin sa states so she can freely stay here at the Philippines no matter how long.
Kaya naman ako ngayon, I just try to enjoy being alone while waiting. Medyo matagal tagal pa iyon and I feel excited every morning that is coming, nakausap ko na rin sa phone ang mommy ko kahit saglit. I heard him cry so much and said sorry multie times. And to be honest, it broke me. Without her I am nothing.
"So maiwan na kita rito sa opisina mo. I'll be checking you now and then, Skye. Don't push yourself to much okay?"
I feel lucky enough to got a job in jist a short span of time dahil sa mga magulang ko ang kumpanya. So I will not let them down, that's my exchange and gratitude towards them for trusting me even though I know there are a lot who are much deserving than me.
By lunch I decided to go home, gusto kong maglunch kasama ang lolo at lola ko bat as I parked my car, a familiar BMW was parked on our parking area.
"Dad, whose car is parked outside?"
"Manliligaw." My grandfather laughed. "He took the wrong turn."
"Sinong manliligaw? Who the hell is he. Hindi ko manlang alam na may manliligaw pala ako." I ket out a nervous laugh, but I flinched as my grandfather slammed his book on the center table.
"Sinong niloloko mo rito, nagmamadali kang pumasok ibigsabihin kilala mo ang kotseng nakaparada sa labas. And you definitely know who is that son of a---" he calmed himself.
"Where is he right now?" Tanong ko.
"Working with our agreement. Before I allow him I must see that he deserves my only grandaughter." Sagot nito saakin.
"Kilala mo ako tuwing tunatanggap ako ng manliligaw mo, apo. I never let them in easily. At lalo pa't galing siya sa pamilyang hindi ko inaasahan na makikita ko muli." He said in a serious yet cold tone.
