(Y/n) stood there, feeling the wind hitting at his face for a second before examining the pocket watch he had picked up.

He had seen it a couple of times in his life, his mother used to carry it around for a while, back then though it was shiny and well kept, now it was tarnished and scratched, barely recognizable.

His mother had told him that it was a family heirloom from her mother and had been in their family for generations. Apparently it had magical powers, incredible powers that had been lost to time.

He popped open the scratched lid, to look at the cracked glass watch face. Inside there were multiple different faces with various numbers around the rim, each containing multiple hands.

On the inside of the cover there appeared to be some sort of writing scratched onto it, it was hard to make out but appeared to be ancient runes.

He made a mental note to get Hermione to look at it later before heading back around into the three broomsticks

He made a mental note to get Hermione to look at it later before heading back around into the three broomsticks.

"(Y/n) over here!" Hermione called waving to him. (Y/n) made his way around towards the table that Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting at.

"I got you butter beer here (Y/n)" Hermione said kissing him on the cheek.

"Thanks love" (Y/n) said, to which Ron glared at him slightly.

"Can't the order at least stop him from stealing everything that's not nailed down." Harry fumed.

"I know you're annoyed Harry, I would be too if someone was stealing my things-" Hermione started before being cut off.

"Yeah that is my stuff!" Harry said angrily. "No wonder he wasn't too happy to see me! You know what I'm going to tell Dumbledore about this."

"Good idea Harry" Hermione said in a calm voice. "What are you staring at Ron?"

"Nothing" Ron said hurriedly, knocking over his butterbeer as he turned. (Y/n) chuckled as he pulled out his wand and cleaned up the spill.

"I expect 'nothing' is in the back getting more firewhisky" Hermione said with a small laugh.

They finished up the last of their butterbeers, before Harry said "shall we call it a day and head back?"

Hermione and Ron nodded excitedly, and
(Y/n) had already jumped to his feet. Overall the trip had been pretty dreadful. The four of them drew their cloaks around them and prepared to brave the storm outside.

As they headed back to the school they found themselves following Katie Bell and her friend back towards the school.

"It's nothing to do with you Leanne!" Katie Bell shouted, as her friend Leanne grabbed a brown parcel from Katie's hand, and Katie tugged it back towards her.

The parcel fell into the snow, as Katie rose gracefully into the air, her hair whipping around her face in the bitter wind, her eyes closed, her face devoid of emotion.

The four of them and Leanne stopped in their tracks, transfixed starring up at Katie floating in the air. Then suddenly she let out an ear piercing scream that cut through the unrelenting wind.

Her eyes flew open, but whatever she was seeing the others couldn't. Her face was contorted in agony, deep creases and wrinkles contoured her face as it contorted, screaming for whatever it was to stop.

She screamed and screamed her head now flung backwards facing up into the terrible grey sky. Soon Leanne was screaming too, tugging at Katie's ankle trying to pull her down.

(Y/n), Harry, Ron and Hermione rushed over to try and pull her down too. They were able to grab her leg and tug her to the ground and they attempted to hold her but she was writhing around too much, so they placed her into the snow.

(Y/n) knelt down next to her, pulling out his wand and attempting to heal her to no avail. "Stay here!" Harry yelled through the snow "I'm going to get help!"

He began to sprint into the snow, until a large figure could be seen emerging from the snow.

"Get back!" Hagrid called as he made his way through the snow "Lemme see her!"

"Something's happened to her!" Leanne wailed through her tears. "I don't know what-"

Hagrid looked down at Katie for a second before bending over and scooping her into his arms and running towards the castle.

Katie's screams could be heard for a few seconds more before they were lost in the wind.

Hermione hurried over Leanne who was still sobbing in the snow, and put her arm around her. "It's Leanne right?"

She simply nodded "Do you know what happened?" Hermione questioned.

"It was when the package tore" she said through her sobs pointing at the ripped brown paper parcel on the ground.

Ron walked over to it his hand outstretched towards the necklace that was laying in the snow.

"Don't touch it!" Hermione and (Y/n) shouted in unison. An ornate necklace was poking out of the snow.

"I've seen that before" Harry said looking at the necklace. "Malfoy was looking at it in Borgin and Burke's"

"She must've touched it, how did she get this?" Harry asked Leanne.

"Well that's why we were arguing. She came back from the bathroom of the three broomsticks holding it, she said it was for someone at Hogwarts and she had to deliver it."

"She looked all funny when she came out of the bathroom, oh no she was probably under the imperious curse and I didn't realize..." the rest of her words were lost to her sobs.
