Chapter 60: Chocolate Love

Soon February warmed into March and a notice was pinned onto the notice board of the common room.

"It was on my birthday!" Ron said furiously reading the notice. "I was looking forward to that!"

"Not a big surprise it's cancelled though" Harry commented "after what happened to Katie"

"Yeah but still I was looking forward to it" Ron sulked.

"Plus all those disappearances in the prophet" (Y/n) added, as more and more people were going missing, some of which were relatives of Hogwarts students.

"What about those murders though?" Ron asked them. "You know the bloke going around offing all those suspected death eaters?"

"Who knows but at least someone's doing something right eh" (Y/n) told them.

Apparition lessons had been going pretty well, (Y/n) could usually apparate to where he wanted to go, with only a couple mistakes. Much to Hermione's frustration.

"How do you make it look so easy!" Hermione said annoyed.

"Just like this" he replied to her grabbing her arm and apparating to the back of the room.

Overall the lesson was pretty boring. That night though Harry and (Y/n) celebrated Ron's birthday.

"Happy birthday mate." (Y/n) said lobbing a gift at his head, before jumping into his bed.

"Happy birthday" Harry said to him, gently tossing gift onto Ron's bed.

"Thanks guys" he said to them with a big smile, as he rubbed his head where (Y/n)'s gift had hit him.

Harry immediately pulled out the map, got onto his bed and started to scour over it looking for Malfoy.

"Nice one!" Ron said holding up the keepers gloves that Harry had gotten him.

"Sure thing" Harry said not looking up from the map.

"I don't think Malfoy is in bed" Harry said studying the map.

Ron didn't appear to hear him as he was too busy tearing wrapping paper off of his gifts.

"These are good this year!" Ron said holding up a gold pocket watch. "Look what mum and dad got me!" He said proudly showing the watch to Harry and (Y/n).

"Cool" Harry muttered looking at the watch quickly before returning his focus to the map.

"Nice one Ron!" (Y/n) said to him more enthusiastically than Harry.

"You want one mate?" Ron asked opening a box of chocolate cauldrons.

"Nah I'm good thanks mate" (Y/n) said, pulling open his potions book.

"Harry?" Ron asked turning to him after popping one into his mouth.

Harry shook his head, to which Ron just shrugged before shoving another cauldron into his mouth.

"Malfoy's gone again!" Harry said, looking up from the map.

"Couldn't have done" Ron said with his mouthful as he shoved another chocolate into his mouth.

"Yeah how'd he get out anyway? Dress up as a tree and sneak off into the forest?" (Y/n) said with a chuckle.

Ron popped another two chocolates into his mouth as Harry tapped the map with his wand and got up out of his bed.

(Y/n) sighed and got out of bed following Harry before realising that Ron hadn't followed them but instead had hanging onto his bedpost gazing out of the window at the moon.
