(Y/n) could hear the shuffling around him, as though a restless crowd was watching him.

"I'm the ghost of (Y/n), unless you give me Harry Potter's chocolate frog collection I'll haunt all of you" (Y/n) said the room in a ghostly voice.

"(Y/n)" Harry cried, pulling him into a tight hug. (Y/n) opened his eyes, to see he was laying in a bed in the hospital wing. Hermione, Luna, Lupin, and Tonks were standing around his bed, with Ron and Ginny around a nearby bed.

"I thought you were dead (Y/n)!" Harry said, still hugging him. "I saw you thrown off the tower (Y/n)! I'm so glad you're okay!"

"Dumbledore?" (Y/n) asked slowly, getting his answer from the silence that followed. "Did anyone else...?"

"Well..." Hermione started slowly. "You remember what happened right (Y/n)? With Rose?" He simply nodded in response. "And there was a... a third year we think. Someone found him in an abandoned classroom."

(Y/n) simply nodded again, knowing that he had gotten Garth killed.

"And then about half a dozen death eaters, including Dolohov" Hermione finished.

"Who's Ron and Ginny visiting?" (Y/n) asked pushing himself into a sitting position.

"Well..." Harry started. "It Bill, Greyback attacked him."

"But it wasn't a full moon, is he going to be okay?" (Y/n) asked deeply concerned.

"I don't think that Bill will be a true werewolf," said Lupin, "but that does not mean that there won't be some contamination. Those are cursed wounds. They are unlikely ever to heal fully, and — and Bill might have some wolfish characteristics from now on."

"Mum and dad are on their way back" Ron said sullenly, still looking at Bill.

There was a moment of silence before Ron broke it once more. "I can't believe he's gone. I can't believe Dumbledore's dead."

"And Snape killed him" (Y/n) said hollowly. "I trusted him"

"We all did" Lupin said somberly. "He deceived us all"

"I can't believe it" (Y/n) mumbled. "I defended him, I believed he was on our side, and then..." he trailed off, defeat in his voice. "I'm sorry Harry. I should've trusted you sooner."

"Don't worry about it (Y/n)" Harry said, patting his hand, before he went on to talk to the others about what had happened and who it all went down.

(Y/n) wasn't paying attention though, it was all too much for him. He had broken his promise, he'd let Garth die. He had promised him he would protect him and he had failed.

At some point Molly and Arthur had arrived, they quickly checked to make sure he was okay before rushing over to Bill.

At some point Fleur had entered, and strangely had bonded with Mrs Weasley, and even Tonks had declared her love for Lupin, but (Y/n), (Y/n) just lay there, not processing anything that was going.

...

All classes and exams had been postponed. Some of the students had been rushed out of Hogwarts by concerned parents, while others refused to leave until after Dumbledore's funeral.

"You're staying with me!" Hermione told (Y/n) defiantly.

"No Hermione it's too dangerous" (Y/n) countered back, as he packed his trunk in the dorm.

"Since when did you give a damn about dangerous!" Hermione replied crossly. "Beside where else are you going to go?"

(Y/n) bit his lip, she did have him there. Rose was dead, his dad still missing and Marc hadn't been seen since the battle. "I'll find somewhere"
