(Y/n) put his arm under Leanne's armpit and helped her to her feet.

Suspicions

"Come on then let's get you back to the castle alright" (Y/n) said in a comforting voice.

Harry hesitated for a moment before bending over towards the necklace.

"Don't touching it you idiot!" (Y/n) said sternly to Harry, who ignored him, took off his scarf and wrapped the necklace in it.

They had barley entered the castle grounds before Harry started to blame Malfoy.

"Malfoy knew about that necklace, it was in Borgin and Burke's. He was eying it four years ago. He must've bought this the day he followed him!" Harry 'explained' confidently.

"I dunno Harry" Ron said hesitantly "I mean loads of people go into Borgin and Burke's anyone could've bought it, plus didn't Leanne say she got it in the bathroom?"

"Finally Ron you're saying something smart for once" (Y/n) said in agreement.

"She said she came back from the bathroom carrying it, she didn't necessarily eat it in the bathroo-" Harry was saying before he stopped upon seeing Professor McGonagall quickly making her way towards them.

"Hagrid says you five saw what happened, upstairs in my office please. Mr Potter what is that?" McGonagall said to them.

"It's the thing she touched" Harry said grimly, holding up his scarf.

"Good lord" Professor McGonagall said putting her hand to her chest. "No no Filch they're with me" Professor McGonagall hastily said ask Filch eagerly made his way towards them, his secrecy sensor held aloft.

"Take this necklace to Professor Snape at once, and whatever you do don't touch it, keep it wrapped in that scarf" Professor McGonagall explained to Filch, before gesturing to them and taking them up to her office.

"Well" Professor McGonagall said after closing to door behind (Y/n) "What happened?"

Leanne went first, rapidly explaining what happened, in such vivid detail that she caused herself to devolve into sobs once more.

"All right" Professor McGonagall said after no more could be deciphered from Leanne's sobs. "Please go up to the hospital wing and get Madame Pomfrey to give you something for the shock"

After she had left the room, and her sobs had diminished to faint echo McGonagall turned towards the four remaining students in the room.

She sighed and placed her hands onto the desk. "Why is it that when something happens... it is always you four"

"Believe me Professor I've been asking myself that for the past six years" Ron said in all sincerity.

"Now then what happened when Katie touched the necklace?" Professor McGonagall Asked them.

"She rose up into the air" Harry said first before the other could speak "and then she began to scream and collapsed onto the ground. Now can I speak to professor Dumbledore, please?" Harry asked impatiently.

"The headmaster is away until Monday" McGonagall said with a hint of surprise.

"Away?!" Harry repeated angrily.

"Yes, Potter, away!" McGonagall said annoyed. "And anything you have to say about this horrible event can be said to me"

(Y/n) prayed to himself that Harry wasn't going to accuse Malfoy of doing this, and then of course he did.

"I think Draco Malfoy gave Katie that necklace" Harry said seriously looking McGonagall dead in the eyes.

(Y/n) let out a sigh and slumped down into a nearby chair. "We're gonna be here for a while" he muttered to Hermione and Ron. "Get comfortable"

"Potter, this is a very serious accusation, do you have any proof?" McGonagall asked after a moment of stunned silence.

"Well..." Harry started a bit sheepishly, as if he didn't expect McGonagall to ask for proof. "Not exactly, but" and he explained to McGonagall everything about how they had followed Malfoy into Borgin and Burke's.

"So Malfoy took something to Borgin and Burke's to be repaired?" McGonagall asked sounding confused.

"No Professor, he just wanted Borgin to tell him how to mend something, something he didn't have with him" Harry started to explain.

"You know I never understood how Borgin and Burke's, and all of Knockturn alley for that matter, was ever legal. I mean it's all dark arts stuff right? How the hell is it even legal to sell that, let alone have a whole street full of shops just like it right next to Diagon alley, doesn't make sense to me" (Y/n) said cutting off Harry.

"Sorry" (Y/n) added after seeing Harry glaring at him, and McGonagall just looking at him slightly stunned.

"Anyway" Harry continued. "The point is that he also bought something at the same time and I think it was that necklace-"

"So you saw Malfoy leaving the store with a similarly shaped package?" McGonagall asked cutting him off.

"Well not exactly Professor, he told Borgin to keep it in the shop-" Harry started again before he was cut off again, this time however by Hermione.

"But Harry, Borgin asked him if he wanted to take it with him and Malfoy said no" Hermione said.

"Well obviously he didn't want to touch it!" Harry snapped angrily at Hermione.

"What he actually said, Harry, was 'How would I look carrying that down the street?'" (Y/n) threw back at Harry, taking Hermione's side.

"Well he would look a bit of a prick carrying a necklace" Ron said jumping in.

"Use you're brain Ronald! It maybe microscopic but I'm sure it's there somewhere!" (Y/n) said angrily getting to his feet, taking his anger towards Harry out on Ron. "It would wrapped up you idiot no one would be able to see what he was carrying"

Hermione nodded "And remember Harry I asked about the necklace and Borgin didn't say it was sold or anythi-"

"Well you were being very obvious Hermione!" Harry snapped at her "he knew what you were doing five seconds after you stepped into the sto-"

"That's enough!" Professor McGonagall said sharply looking furious. "Potter, while I appreciate you telling me your suspicions, you have no proof what so ever, just because he visited the store doesn't mean he did it!"

"Yeah Harry by that logic you could've bought that necklace!" (Y/n) added furiously.

"And what's more Mr Potter Malfoy was not in Hogsmead today!" McGonagall said talking over (Y/n).

"How do you know Professor?" Harry practically demanded of her.

"Because, Potter, he was serving detention with me. He has now failed to complete his transfiguration homework twice in a row. Now then I need to check on Katie Bell. Good day to you all!" McGonagall said aggressively, holding open the door.

"Thank you Professor. I'm sorry about Harry's wild suspicions" (Y/n) said giving her a little wave on the way out of the office.
