By the time (Y/n) got back to the common room Harry had returned from his attempt to get Slughorn to talk, which had failed miserably.

Harry brooded over this throughout the coming weeks, to the point that (Y/n) started to feel bad for him, forgetting about how angry at him he was.

Hermione to had forgotten how upset she was at Harry, owing to the fact that she had found nothing about horcruxes.

"Nothing! Absolutely nothing at all" Hermione said fuming. "I've even gone through the restricted section and nothing at all!"

And she too sulked in the library similarly to Harry for the majority of the week, which left (Y/n) by himself, not wanting to spend hours boredly banging his head against the table as Hermione poured over large tomes of forbidden and banned magic.

Instead he spent most of his time teaching Garth various defensive magic, as well as how to light the best magical fires.

He had also found the amazingly fun pass time of causing mayhem around the school. He felt that it was his civic duty to fill in for Fred and George now that they were gone.

"Alrighty then" (Y/n) muttered to himself, after having picked the lock to Filch's office. He had taken to learning various muggle skills, as he thought it might one day be useful to him.

He started by nicking a few confiscated items. A few fanged frisbees here and there a nose biting teacup or two, and about a dozen of the fireworks Fred and George had let off around the school the year prior.

He left the room in the same condition he had found it, minus the firework sent to go off in one of the desk drawers, a little special surprise for Filch when he got back.

Other than that he had also as been playing around with the lighter the mysterious Hermes had sent him.

He had managed to figure out how to create various small creatures with the fire, and would often sit in the various hidden passages and crevices around the school messing around with magic and the lighter.

He would've preferred to have been able to enter the room if requirements, but every time he had tried to get into it, it would not appear. And so he was banished to the secret empty hallways of the school to practice and train.

So far it had been good, other than the time he nearly set Donatello on fire.

It was one day after classes that he was sitting in a hidden passageway catching his breath after a particular hard day of training. He sat on the cold stone floor, gently petting the rabbit he'd made from the magical fire in the lighter, slowly catching his breath.

Just then he heard a gently cawing sound, looking up to see a silvery raven standing next to him, with a scroll of parchment tied to its leg.

He pulled the scroll off and unrolled it, the raven disappearing as soon as he took his eyes off of it.

(Y/n)

How are you feeling? Hopefully not too bad. I just wanted to send you a quick letter asking how you are. I'm sure you've got a lot of questions, so do I. I'll try my best to answer some for you. First off I am not a death eater, I don't believe in any of that 'for Voldemort and valor' shit, and I hope you don't either. He took so much from me, my father, my friends, my life... so much and he needs be stopped before he can do that. You are key in this (Y/n) the world needs you. Look my time is running short right now W.W. and I need to get going soon. Be safe (Y/n).

Hermes.

Who was this person? (Y/n) thought to himself, rereading the letter once more. And what was that weird Voldemort and Valor thing they had said?

"This only added more questions" (Y/n) complained out loud, before getting to his feet and heading back to the common room.

The rest of the month flew by and soon February was upon them. This brought around joy for many of the sixth years, as it meant the first apparition lessons were upon them.

Harry Ron Hermione and (Y/n) made their way down to the great hall and immediately noticed that the four large tables were missing, leaving a large open area.
