(Y/n) straightened his bow tie and pulled on his the outer cloak of his dress robes. It would be a lie to say he wasn't looking forward to Slughorn's party, as (Y/n) always enjoyed a good party.
He had on a black dress shirt, with red and orange robes over it that were bewitched, so that the colours ebbed and flowed across the fabric to create a flame effect.
Just to spice things up he had even put into effect what he had learned in transfiguration earlier and bewitched the tips of his bangs to create the same effect as his robes.
"Interesting choice of robes" Harry commented as (Y/n) entered the common room.
"Yeah well everyone already things I'm an loony arsonist might as well go with it" (Y/n) said.
"Plus they're better than your boring old robes." He added having seen Harry's dress robes spread out on his bed.
"Well I mean you are one" Harry told him, to which (Y/n) just shrugged, side eying Ron, who quickly scuttled away, tripping over an ottoman and face planting, causing (Y/n) to snicker.
"When are you going to talk to him" Harry said with a sigh.
"When he stops being a hypocritical git and admits he just wants to get with Hermione" (Y/n) told Harry bluntly.
"He..." Harry started before trailing off.
"Come on Harry don't tell me you haven't noticed it? The perfume he gave her, the dirty looks the complainants about us dating" (Y/n) said spelling it out for him.
"Look I know it's not the best situation right now, but I don't blame Ron for not talking with you" Harry told him honestly, earning a confused looked firm (Y/n).
"You locked him in a room with a flock of birds pecking at him! I don't blame him for being terrified of you!" Harry explained to him. "To be honest I was bloody scared of you after that"
"Oh" was all that escaped (Y/n)'s lips. Perhaps he had overdone it a bit, he had just gotten so angry he couldn't help himself. He just couldn't lose anyone else important to him.
"I'll... I'll go talk to him" (Y/n) said quietly, making his way towards the common room.
"Oh (Y/n) I was... I was just leaving" Ron said quickly getting up of his bed and making his way towards the exit.
"No Ron wait" (Y/n) called out to him. "I want to apologize" Ron stopped dead and turned around to look at him.
"I.. I'm sorry" (Y/n) started, trying to figure out the words. "I lost control, and I hurt you."
"Oh er thanks?" Ron told him, sounding unsure.
"I get you probably don't trust me as much anymore, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry for what I did" (Y/n) stuck his hand out to Ron who shook it.
(Y/n) then pulled him in close and whispered in his ear. "But I would do it again. Just cuz your jealous doesn't mean you can be mean to Hermione, so stop being a whiny bitch and accept it."
(Y/n) let him go and gave him a smile. "You can hate my guts as much as you want, just don't take it out in Hermione."
"We good mate?" (Y/n) asked him, to which Ron just nodded. "Oh and also" (Y/n) turning back before he left the common room.
"Don't date Lavender if you're just trying to make Hermione jealous, she deserves better than that."
"Even though she can be annoying" (Y/n) added under his breath.
"There we go, all settled" (Y/n) Harry as he came down the stairs back into the common room, dusting off his hands.
"So where are you meeting Luna?" (Y/n) asked him.
"Down in the dungeons" Harry replied, not sounding enthusiastic at all.
"Come on Harry you better make sure she has fun alright" (Y/n) protectively of Luna.
"I will I will" Harry said absentmindedly.
"I'm serious Harry, this better not be a repeat of the Yule ball" (Y/n) told him sternly.
"Yeah I get it" Harry replied to him sounding annoyed. "I'll see you at the party (Y/n) I've got somethings I need to do" Harry told him walking towards the dorms.
"Don't be late mate." (Y/n) told him. "And you better not be reading that stupid book again" (Y/n) called up to him.
"God he's addicted to that book" (Y/n) muttered rolling his eyes. "If only he'd read actual textbooks he'd learn something for once. I doubt that bloody prince isn't have the teacher Slughorn is, or Snape for that matter.
"He probably failed Snape's class for cheating" (Y/n) said to himself with a laugh. "There's no way Snape would ever let a student cheat like that"
(Y/n) sat down onto the sofa waiting for Hermione to get ready.
"Yeah I probably shouldn't have gotten ready an hour early" (Y/n) said checking his watch.
He leaned back on the sofa and then noticed what appeared to be a silvery raven perched on one of the tables nearby, a scroll tied to its leg.
"Hey there little fella, how this for?" (Y/n) asked getting up and walking over to the raven, who simply stuck its leg out, offering the scroll to him.
He untied the scroll from the ravens leg and it immediately took flight, flying out the window and appear as if to disappear into a silvery wisp in the night.
He sat back down on the sofa and opened the scroll up.
(Y/n), hopefully you took my last note to heart, that watch is important do not let it fall into the wrong hands. Hopefully Allen was able to deliver this letter to you, just like my parent we both have raven patronuses. Things are going to change soon, be on your guard keep practicing magic, and dueling. There's not much more that I can tell you, I know you must have a lot of questions but I can't answer them, soon we'll be able to meet, but until then you need to trust me.
Hermes
"Another letter" (Y/n) muttered to himself. "Maybe this isn't a prank. Perhaps I should talk to Dumbledore about this, he sure knows lot o shit"
Just then the door to the girls dormitory opened.
