Chapter 47: Overheard Conversations

"Are sure you're okay (Y/n)?" Hermione asked him, as the entered into the common room. She had fixed his nose as they left the party mad already cleaned the blood off his face and robes.

"Yeah I'm fine" (Y/n) told her with a wink.

"Are you sure? He did hit you pretty hard in the head" Hermione said clearly worried.

"Hermione I told you I'm perfectly purple, hey do you smell that? Smells like yellow" (Y/n) said crossing his eyes to mess with her.

"(Y/n)!" Hermione cried.

"I'm sorry just messing with you" (Y/n) told her.

"Where'd you go mate?" (Y/n) asked Harry as he ran walked in through the portrait hole.

"I'll tell you tomorrow alright" Harry said seriously.

"Alright then sleep well mate" (Y/n) called to him. "I'll see you in the morning too Hermione." And he bent down and kissed her on the lips.

(Y/n) awoke every the next morning, and magically levitated all of his belongings into the air, and magically packed them into his trunk.

He went down into the common room and sat in one of the arm chairs waiting for the other to wake up.

Hermione was the first one to come down, she took a seat next to (Y/n) and then started chatting for while, as they waited for the others.

"Hey (Y/n)!" A small voice called out to him.

"Garth!! How are you doing?" (Y/n) called out to him. It had been a while since he had seen him. "How are you doing? Enjoying your year?"

"Yeah I am!" Garth told him excitedly. "Although its all a bit scary. With he who must not be named and all that."

"Don't worry Garth I'll make sure you're okay, just stick with me and nothing bad will happen" (Y/n) said to him giving him a high five.

"Are you staying here over Christmas break?" Garth asked him, looking at him with wide innocent eyes.

"Nah not this year, too big of a hot shot you know" (Y/n) told him. "I'm heading over to a friends house for a bit and then over to Hermione's for Christmas."

"Same here!" Garth told him excitedly. "Not the staying with friends thingy but I'm going home for Christmas too!"

"Well I'll see you when you get back Garth" (Y/n) told him.

"Yeah!! Well I better go I need to get things ready before I go" Garth told him.

"I'll see you around Garth" (Y/n) called to him as he left the portrait hole.

"Morning" Harry said walking down the stairs from the dorms, with a sleepy looking Ron following behind.

"Morning mate" (Y/n) said to the two of them.

"Morning (Y/n)... morning Hermione" Ron said to the two of them sheepishly, clearly having taken (Y/n)'s words, and threats, from the other night to heart.

"Oh Umm morning Ron" Hermione replied taken aback.

"So... how was the party last night?" Ron asked the three of them.

"Well Cormac left with a concussion and three broken ribs." Harry told Ron.

"And mild frostbite on his nose" (Y/n) added proudly.

"You know I'm not that surprised" Ron replied with a laugh.

"And here get this" Harry said leaning forward.

"Oh are we going to find out where you disappeared to last night?" (Y/n) asked him.

And Harry explained to them what he had overheard Snape and Malfoy talking about. How Snape had offered to help Malfoy with a task Voldemort had given him. And that Malfoy denied having done anything to Katie.

"Well... Snape could just be offering to help Malfoy to get more information for Dumbledore" Hermione suggested.

"Yeah that makes sense, I mean he is a member of the order" (Y/n) added in.

"It's possible" Ron said slowly. "But wouldn't it make more sense that Snape was genuinely trying to help Malfoy?"

"No no it wouldn't" (Y/n) replied immediately. "I know the two of you have it out for him but seriously he's helped you out so many times, plus he's saved your life more than once" (Y/n) added.

"I doubt it" Harry added darkly. "He's had it out for me for years."

(Y/n) rolled his eyes. "Looks like it's gonna be another session of conspiracy theories with the Harold potter" (Y/n) muttered to Hermione, who giggled. "What next Dumbledore's actually just three gnomes in a trench coat"

They talked for a while longer before heading off towards the great hall to grab a bit of breakfast, before heading off to get the Hogwarts express back to platform nine and three quarters.

Hi everyone how's life going. So I've been writing a lot recently mostly because I've really wanted to so I want to use thins energy spur effectively, but soon the updates will be less regular again, I'm heading back to uni soon so I won't have nearly as much time to write, but I am determined to get my story out there.

I do have another book planned after this series and then possibly another readerx series after that one but at this point it's too soon to say for sure.

So idk if people would want another series after this and the stand alone book but you do let me know... I'll probably write it even if you don't want it so yeah.

Anyway let me know anything you want if you wanna tell me my books are garbage you're more than welcome too.
