In the very deep of night, I always heard a humming voice. A high pitch tone that isn't eerie, in fact, a very lonely one.

I find it something was off at first, but every nights had passed, I learned to ignored it. In the end, I didn't get my sleep completely.

The more I brushed it off, the more the voice became louder and scarier.
I got off from my bed and went to my terrace where I can clearly hear that lady's voice. I stared at the view where I can see the sea from our house.

'Oh oh oh oh'

My heart pounded when I heard it once again. It looks like it came from the direction of the  Moon Academy....but why?

I hold from the terrace and observed  the far away shore. I want to know what, and why, am I bothering that voice. My sleep is at stake here.

"Devon..."

"EKK!" I gasped in surprised that made the terrace covered in ice. I looked at my back and it was Nana Porchia, the madam of this house. The one who took care of me until now.

"Nana," I called her and she approached me. I touched the terrace and melt the ice away.

"Why are you awake? It's still midnight, dear." She calmly spoke. I smiled a bit.

"Catching some fresh air, Nana. I can't sleep." I honestly answered
and glanced to the view outside again.

She doesn't know what's happening to me and I can't bother her with this. It will only be a drag for the both of us.

"Usually, you're not the type to stay up late."

Eh. I guess she already sensed that something's going on since this is the third time she came visited me.

I sighed and closed my eyes. "I'm fine, Nana. You shouldn't come here. "

She stared at me for a moment but gave up afterwards and caressed my back.

"Then, go to sleep now. Tomorrow will be your new journey. Moon Academy is a long way trip."

"Okay."

I turned my back and start walking but....

'Oh oh oh oh '

Dear. Provoking someone's curiosity will lead to bad ending.

The rushing excitement inside my body gave me goosebumps as wind passed by.

"Are you really fine, hija?" Nana Porchia asked again as her face drew a worried one.

I ignored her words and took off my sleepers. If that voice is persistent to bug me, then there's only one thing to find out.

"Devon? What are you doing?" She began to panic  because of my actions. I glanced at her and gave my confident grin that I will be back.

And if I don't, then I gladly welcome my  tragic ending. Sounds cliche, huh.

I immediately jump down below the terrace, and begin to find that voice.
