Do you believe that we all can find that one PERFECT person?
Well, Angelica Summers never did. That is, untill she met him. The Man in the White Shirt, who challenged her every beliefs. Maybe our Mr. PERFECT does exist. But how many of us get to m...
Seeing me all alone in the branch he inquired about the others. I told him about the meeting upstairs. I figured that is why he had come to our branch anyway. But... apparently not. I realized that fate had handed me a wonderful opportunity to convince Victor in person. Screw the calls and texts. I'm gonna TALK to him. FACE TO FACE.
I told him about turning in my resignation letter. He gave a strict nod and curtly replied "Yes, I saw it". I started to tellhim about my situation when he politely cut me like a gentleman and asked me if I could wait for another 15 minutes for him to complete his virtual meeting, and then get back to our conversation.
"Oh, yes of course, Mr. Russell." I replied.
He went into the transparent glass lounge and started his meeting. All the while I was pacing up and down the hallway. I was glad Mr. Germaine wasn't present at that moment. I can finally talk to Victor. Twenty minutes later, he opened the door of his cabin. I gently leaped across the hallway to his cabin like Bambi. How impatient.

WOW... I mean... just WOW. My Superman... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥TOM WELLING♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Turned on by just looking at him, aren't you? Well, to be honest, same thing happened to me and to our dear Angelica Summers ofcourse everytime she looks at Victor.
It started with me narrating the new offer, the interview and all other stories that followed the single thread. He patiently listened to me going on and on for almost half an hour. When all of a sudden he asked me if I would like to continue this over a cup of coffee. I gladly shook my head and mintues later, we were sitting at a small cafe. Sipping our cappuccino.
He was interested in learning more about me. So was I. I kept deflecting his questions back to him, which he keenly answered. And we both got to learn few things about each other. He shared a great deal about his 20 years of experience in various fields. We forgot about everything around us. The tables and chairs next to us, the people around us, the traffic outside. Nothing seemed to bother us. How almost 40 minutes flew by, we knew not.
As we left the cafe, he turned to me and thanked me for my service at his branch. He complimented me by quoting things that Kaden and Mr. Morton had said to him. Some I knew. Some I didn't.
"None of us could nor still can believe that this is your first job. You handled everything like a pro. Finding a replacement and expecting that person to be you would damn near be impossible, Angelica."
I honestly didn't know what I'd say to that, except possibly give a shy smile and look down. Was he still talking about the job? My role in his office? Or something else?
"And normally I would've said no in the first place to such a request. But for you, I'm going to make an exception. I truly hope this is what you want."
"I'm sure." I cooly said.
"Well then, Angelica, in that case you have my best wishes to pursue your dreams. Seeing your conviction, I can do naught, but, convince the HR. I'll try my best to get things moving from my side and to help you. All the best."
