June 18

I woke up pretty early in the morning and got ready with all the documents that I would be needing for the interview. Last night, I had taken copies of all my certificates and marksheets and kept them ready. Since I had just completed my degree and was yet to receive my certificate for that, I had to get a course completion certificate from the university. I had requested for it few days back and had to get it today, before heading to my interview. I was high as a kite to go back to my university campus after months. I wore my favourite pair of MANGO trousers and a nice Van Heusen blouse and black pumps to go with it. I swung by the university, got my certificate and popped into the staff lounge to meet a couple of my professors, since I had few minutes to spare.

When it was about 10.20, I headed out to the office building which was about six or seven blocks away from there. I went to the front desk of this huge building and asked for the location of my to be company. I was directed to the 20th floor, where the company's front desk was. So I headed up there in an elevator and approached their front desk. I asked for Mr. Randal Lopez.

"Which Mr. Randal Lopez are you going to meet, miss?" asked the receptionist.

"Wait, what? How many Randal Lopezs could there be in one regional office?" I thought.

Seeing my blank stare, he prompted out the options. "There is one with the Human Resources, one with Client Acquisitions and of course there is the Regional Head."

"Oh, right. Ummm... the... the Regional Head." I replied as I was debating whether I had actually heard Mrs. Manuela correctly. "Damn girl, you really need to snap out of Fargo, and listen to people when they talk. Especially if it concerns your future job." I thought. She kept referring to him as Randy, throughout the conversation. But I was like, 99.9% sure it was the Regional Head Randy that she was referring to. I was then given a visitor pass and directed to the 28th floor.

This colossal corporate had its offices in pretty much every major city and many small ones too, across the U.S. This regional office in Cal city, was the HQ for all the branches in California. So, it was a pretty big office occupying 25 floors in the building i.e. 20 through 45. As the glass doored elevator moved up, I caught glimpses of so many faces inside this great glass windowed building.

I got out in 28 and used my visitor pass to open the glass doors to the premise. It was filled with so many cubicles. To my right, there were  many doors, with names of the occupants. I crossed a couple rows of cubicles and approached one of the worker bee there.
