Jay's dad was released from prison, he's reached out to Jay several times but Jay doesn't want to open that can of worms. That's why he reached out to Erin instead. After sitting down with Jay's dad, she told him that she would try to speak with Jay but no guarantees. After a month long battle Jay finally caved and accepted his dads request to finally meet, but Jay didn't want the kids around. He felt it was best for him and his dad to squash the beef between the 2 of them before bringing his kids into the mix. It took months of one on one's and therapy sessions before Jay brought the kids around. It broke his dad's heart to see how much the kids have grown up while he was away, but he only had himself to blame. He was proud to see the man Jay had became, he was an amazing father and husband.

That guilt from Jay's childhood wasn't on his back anymore, he was finally able to free himself. His dad got to see the respectable and amazing Husband, Dad, and Boss his son is.  Life was good, scratch that Life was Great!
