Chapter 15

Jay: Erin wake up.. baby wake up..wake up er.....

Erin's body laid on the cold table with no movement.
Jay: I was suppose to protect her, how could I let this happen. This is all my fault.
Will: Jay it's not your fault, you couldn't have known. We're going to get through this, now  let's get you back to your room.

Will pushed jay out of the morgue and back to his room. Will felt so bad for him not only did he lose his wife but his son as well.

Will: try to get some rest!
Jay: I can't I need her, when I would have a bad day I would just come home and snuggle up on her chest, and she would run her fingers through my hair. 🥺😭She would give me small kisses and say it's okay babe I'm right here, but she's gone Will, She's gone😭😭😭 I can't live without her.
Will: we're going to help you through this.
Jay: 😭😭😭
Will: let me go make my rounds and I will come back and check on you.

Will left and started making his rounds, jay just laid there contemplating his life with out Erin. He just cried harder, He would never get to hold his son, see his first crawl, steps, words, he couldn't  fathom that. He got up and grabbed his crutches. He left his room and head to the elevator, he pressed roof access. Once he got to the roof he walk to the edge and sat down. He stared at the skyline for a good 30 minutes.

Will: How are doing J.....Where's jay, Where's the patient in 302?
Nurse: He was in his room.
Will: How long ago?
Nurse: About 35 minutes ago.
Will: Call security!
Hank: Will what's going on?
Will: I can't find Jay!
Hank: I'll have the team split up and look for him.

Hank: Jays missing, we need to find him now. He's grieving and not in the right mind.
Kim: You don't think he would...
Hank: I hope not! Kim stay with Bella, Kevin and Adam check the basement, al you and I will check the roof, and Antonio go check security cameras we might can find him faster.

Everyone split up and went searching, after about 5 minutes Antonio radioed in that he found jay, he was sitting on the edge on building on the south wing roof. The team rushed up there, Hank called Will so he could help.

Hank: Jay..
Jay: Hank.. just leave me alone.🥺
Hank: I can't jay not until I know your safe.
Jay: just go.
Hank: Come off the edge jay..
Jay: No I'm okay..
Hank: we will help you through this.
Jay: The only one that can help me is gone, she's gone Hank.
Hank: I know Jay, I know she it.
Jay: I can't do this without her.
Will: it won't be easy Jay, but you can do it.
Jay: I know I can but I don't want to. I don't want a life where she's not by my side. When Bella gets older tell her we both loved her so much.

With the jay pushed himself off the edge.......😱😱😱Hank just witness both his daughter, grandson, and now son in law die right in front his eyes.

Jay felt Erin thrashing in her sleep, she was crying.
Jay: Erin wake up.. baby wake up..wake up er..... Erin it's just a nightmare wake up...Baby please open your eyes, Erinnn come on baby wake up..
Erin: JAY..JAY..JAYYYY 😭😭😭
Jay: Erin what the hell were you dreaming about.
Erin: My dad, he slit my throat in front of Hank. I watch you look at my dead body. You lost me and the baby! Jay it was so horrible. You was so sad you tried to kill yourself by jumping off the edge of the roof at med😭😭😭. We both died and left Bella💔🥺😭😭
Jay: come here it was just a dream. Theodore is dead he can't hurt us, Hank made sure of that.
Erin: can we go check on Bella.
Jay: yea, come on then we can go get you some tea. No more chocolate before bed, I don't care if baby wants it or not.
Erin: I agree, cause the nightmares are worse.

Erin and jay checked on Bella, she's sleeping peacefully in her bed. They closed the door and made their way to the kitchen, Erin sat on the chair while jay fixed the tea.

Jay: How are you feeling?
Erin: I'll be better once this little guy is born.
Jay: We only have 3 more weeks left.
Erin: how's your leg doing?
Jay: I would say it at about 90%. Doctors say I'm doing great.
Erin: what about the other ones?
Jay: The one in my shoulder is 95% the stomach ones are pretty good they are still sore but healed. Overall I'm almost 100%.  The tea is ready.
Erin: Thank you, I just glad your still here. I still feel like it's all my fault.
Jay: Erin it's not your fault, you couldn't have known he would break out of prison and kidnap me and Bella. We're lucky Hank caught him before he made it to hospital. Erin it's no need to worry, it happened 4 months ago.
Erin: I know but feels like yesterday.
Jay: Come on let's go get back into bed, if your still not tired we can think of baby names.
Erin: REALLY!
Jay: yea, now let's go.

Jay and Erin went back to their bedroom, Erin got into bed first then jay. Once jay was in the bed Erin snuggled up, once the warmth of Jay connected with her skin, she was fast to sleep.
