Erin: We need to talk?
Hank: about what?
Erin: Bunny!!!!

While jay was waking the kids up, Erin was finishing up breakfast. She had also invited Hank over to discuss Bunny. Bella and Maverick was walking down the stairs in their robes, and fuzzy sippers. Jay was bouncing down the stairs with excitement, today was family day and he couldn't wait to get started. Both kids sat at the table and Jay sat their plates in front of them and Erin plated them. Drew started fussing so Jay lifted his seat and sat him on the countertop so he could see everyone. He calmed down pretty fast, and just as Jay was about to sit down the doorbell rang.

Erin: It's probably Hank, he was on his way over.
Jay: Okay, I'll grab it.
Hank: Morning everyone!
Jay: Morning Hank!
Bella: Morning grandpa!
Mav: Morning papa!
Erin: Morning Hank! We have extra breakfast, want some?
Hank: Yea, that'll be great. Jay, Erin tells me you had a run in with Bunny?
Jay: Yea, this morning me and drew went to the store and when we were checking out she saw me. She was arguing with the cashier over a fake $20 bill. She then asked where Erin was, and to tell her she wanted to talk.
Erin: Last time we seen her she showed up at our door high as a kite, I don't that around our kids.
Hank: last she was here I actually dropped her off at rehab. She's been good for about a year now, I keep an eye on her. She almost did relapse, when she got out of rehab she came here to make amends with you both. Since neither of you were here, she got scared. She thought you left and she would not be able to make it up to you. She has a stable job now, she's working as a sales associate at Walmart. She's doing much better, she probably wants to make amends.
Erin: I don't want to let my guard down, she has burnt me to many times. I also don't want her to hurt the kids.
Hank: I know, that's why you and Jay can meet her first, and I'll watch the kids.
Erin: Maybe tomorrow, today is just about us and the kids. We're camping out today pizza, stars and s'mores. Just want to do a family event today.
Hank: That sounds wonderful, I'm glad to see you all finding some normalcy.
Jay: it won't be easy, but I got my family by side. They're helping me through a lot and I also see a therapist again.
Hank: I'm proud of you Halstead, keep up the great work.
Jay: Thank you Hank, I really appreciate that!
Hank: Too mushy, I'm gonna get out of here so you can enjoy your day.
Erin: Thank you got coming over.
Hank: it was no problem, bye kiddos.
Bella: Bye grandpa!
Mav: Bye papa!

After finishing breakfast Hank had left and Jay went outside to start setting up their family fun day. Erin cleaned the kids up before getting them ready. She fed drew and put him down for a nap. Jay had just sat up the water balloon event, and the projector.

Jay: Okay everyone ready?
Bella: Yeaaaa!
Mav: Yeaaaaa!
Erin: What's first?
Jay: WATER BALLOON FIGHT!!!!!

Everyone scattered around the yard throwing balloons at each other. All you could hear was laughs, and excitement. Erin and Jay haven't heard them this happy in a while, family fun day was already proving to be great. After the water balloon fight they hopped in the pool for a while, well at least till Drew started crying. While Erin tended to Drew, Jay dried the kids off and started a fire in the fire pit. The kids helped Jay with that. After Erin took care of Drew, she brought him outside with the rest of the family fun. The kids all roasted a hot dogs on the a stick, then they laid out in the backyard and watched a movie. The day was going by without a hitch, they all went back inside to make their own personal pizzas. Erin and Jay made 1 big one for them, and Maverick and Bella made 2 small pizzas for them. After they assembled their pizzas, they placed the pizza in the oven and waited. After the pizzas was complete, Jay cut them up and brought them outside. It was a nice clear blue sky 🌌, you could see all the stars. The family of five ended the night by watching WALLE. Erin held drew while Jay laid in between her legs and a kid on each side f him. This was the day he imagined, just family and fun. Both parents was surprised when both kids was still woke, instead of putting them to sleep. Jay pulled out the s'mores kit and ended the night properly. Jay leaned over and kissed Erin.
Jay: I love you!
Erin: I love you so much, we all love you!
