Chapter 19

On the ride to the hospital the contractions were getting closer and closer. They are 3 minutes out from the hospital, jay had already called ahead to Will.

Jay: You got this Er, soon our little boy will be here.
Brett: Do you guys have a name picked out?
Erin: yea, but we won't announce it till he is here.
Brett: I guess we have to wait for the surprise.
Jay: yes you will.😁😁

They arrived at the hospital, Will and Natalie was already waiting outside the ER bay.

Will: What do we got?
Brett: 32 year old female, water broke after taking a hit to the stomach. She is 39 weeks and 6 days.
Natalie: Hey Erin, we're gonna take great care of you. First thing I need is for you to get into a hospital gown, and then we can see how far you have dilated.

Erin: okay, jay can help me?
Jay: Of course!

Jay helped Erin switch clothes and put on the hospital gown. She then got on the bed and Natalie walked in.

Natalie: I want you to scooch down for me.
Erin: How much have i dilated?
Natalie: Almost there, your almost 8 cm. How long has the contractions been happening?🤨
Jay: she didn't say anything till her water broke.
Natalie: Erin, how long?
Erin: since this morning, but in all fairness I thought it was Braxton Hicks.
Natalie: I thought so, well the little guy will hopefully be here soon. We're going to move you to the labor and delivery wing, and I'll come in the next hour to recheck.
Erin: Thank you nat.☺️

Natalie leaves the room, and the nurse moved Erin to the labor and delivery floor and into her own room. When they got to the room, Erin tried to get comfortable in the bed, but she couldn't.

Erin: Jay can you please come lay with me I can't get comfortable.
Jay: yes I can.😁 So you've been having having contractions all day?
Erin: I guess so, I honestly thought it was just Braxton Hicks. I should've noticed how close it was to our due date.
Jay: how's the pain level?
Erin: when it happens, it's like a 15 but since your right here it's like a 6. I guess our little guy is just relaxing.
Jay: I can't wait to meet him!
Erin: Me too, we'll have 2 mini Halsteads. 😂😂. I hope he has your eyes, and that sexy Halstead grin.
Jay: well i hope he has your nose, and your personality.
Erin: Honestly I just want a healthy baby, everything else is just an added bonus.
Jay: I agree. We will just love him no matter what.❤️
Natalie: Hey, I'm back to see how far you've dilated.
Erin: hop up Babe, I have to scooch back down.
Natalie: your about 9.5cm, how has the pain been.
Erin: Possibly a 5 if anything I haven't felt a contraction since jay laid down with me.
Natalie: Well hopefully when I come back you should be ready to push. You should let everyone know he will be arriving soon.

Jay: Hey I'll be back, I'll go give everyone a update. Is there any request?
Erin: Can you ask Kim to come here and bring Bella I really want to see her.
Jay: okay, I'll be right back.

Jay left to the room to give everyone a quick update, and to get Kim and Bella.

Jay: Hey guys, quick update. Erin doing great baby boy should be here really soon, turns out she's been having contractions all day. Oh, and Kim Erin wants you and Bella. I'll be back out when he decides to make his grand entry.

Kim: Hey Er, How are you feeling? Here's your sleepy little girl.
Erin: Ready for him to be here already. Hi my Bella.
Bella: mommyyy!!😁😁
Erin: How are you?
Bella: I sweepy mommy.
Erin: Do you wanna take a nap?
Bella: Ywes pwease!
Erin: lay down next to mommy.
Kim: Did you need anything?
Erin: I was gonna ask do you wanna be in the delivery room with me. It will give you a first hand experience you know for when you have your own.
Kim: My own, ha yea we got along way to go.
Erin: 🤨 really Kim, you think I didn't notice you haven't been drinking these last few weeks when we was at Molly's, hell your boobs have gotten bigger. So, how far along are you?
Kim: How the hell did you know, and I'm 3 months in Adam doesn't know yet.
Erin: I've been pregnant twice I know lol, I'm so happy for you.
Kim: Thank you, and I'd love to be in here.
