"Xue Yang, come on stop being stubborn and eat something." Wen Qing said with a bowl in her hand.

"I am not hungry." Xue Yang replied and sat next to Xingchen who lay like a corpse on the bed.

Xingchen went into a coma and it had been more than a week since the day they had entered the Gusu Lan.

Xue Yang lost weight and had deep lines on his face and dark circles under his eyes.

Wen Qing seemed distressed and softly pleaded, "Please?"

Xue Yang ate in silence whereas others wondered how she could manage to convince him.

Xue Yang ate, drank, slept, or kept awake, but did not live because he could no longer hear Xingchen talking to him.

Finally, Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen came back to the Gusu Lan and were set aback when they saw Xue Yang.

"What are you doing here? Lan Zhan, why is he inside the Gusu Lan?" Lan Qiren fumed.

Lan Zhan bowed his head and replied in a calm tone, "My apologies uncle but Xingchen is not well so we had to allow him inside."

Lan Qiren's angry gaze changed into a concerned gaze and quickly went inside the medical room to examine Xingchen.
