Chapter 1: Resume
University was something new. I met a lot of new faces, and went about with my classes. Kazuo hasn't really spoken to me since I started at a new University in Japan. He often contacted me saying he would be a professor there.
In a way I didn't want him to be near me.
We had a mutual break up, but something in me said I couldn't simply let him go just like that. I was hooked.
"Hey did you understand the English homework?" A guy with dark wavy brown hair said to me.
"Uh no." I replied. I found myself being extremely rude in my tones. Or more so sarcastic.
I noticed the guy rolling his eyes, and walking away from me. What was his deal? Too stupid to find out on his own?
I went about into my mathematics class. I suddenly felt a vibration on my phone. It was a text from Kazuo.
"I'll pick you up today." It read.
I guess that is good for me. I won't have to take the shitty bus home. I heard another vibration in my pocket. It was another text.
"Satoshi, hand me the phone." The professor said loudly enough for the whole class to hear. What a dumb prick.
I got up from my seat, and handed the phone to the teacher. "When will I get it back?" I said glaring him down.
He takes the phone, and puts it in his drawer. I could see his pissed off eyes. The teacher already hated me when he hardly knew me. "You may have it back by the end of the day."
"You know this isn't high school right?"
"This isn't, but this is my classroom, and I don't like cellular devices being used in my class."
"Well this isn't technically your classroom. Did you pay for it?" I smirked at the bastard.
"Take a seat." He glares, and I went to sit back down.
Now I can't text Kazuo. He would get pissed if I didn't reply in a certain time frame. His constant worry for me made me feel kinda odd. I was practically a grown up at this point, yet he treats me like I'm a little kid.
"Uhhgg." I groaned. I noticed a girl with straight traditional black Japanese hair staring at me. The fuck was she looking at? I couldn't help, but give her the face of death. I hate people that stared at me. Did they have nothing better to do? She turns away with a look of annoyance. What a bitch.
The class went by slow as hell. I found myself doodling in my notebook. University was a joke to me. I didn't even know what I wanted to pursue. I guess I always wanted to be a police officer or detective. I had a witty mind when it came to crime things.
"Class dismiss." The professor announced. I went up to his desk, and lend out my hand.
He hands me the phone, and gave me a warning not to use it in class or he will keep it for a whole day next time. How can a professor even say that? It is our choice whether we want to use our cellphones or not. How stupid. He doesn't even know how typical university works.
Luckily this math class was my last class. I walked outside, and saw a fancy red convertible. It was Kazuo waiting for me. He had on sunglasses, and a white suit. He puts out his cigarette, and smiles at me.
I walked over to him, and he opens the door for me like some butler or limousine driver would. How charming.
He gets in the car, and stars driving. I didn't know the route he took today. It was different from the other routes we normally took to get back to my dorm room.
