Chapter 21: New

"What a lovely place. You must be rich!" Saito looked around my house. His fascination made me happy since I did the decor myself.

"Thanks. Want some whiskey?" I offered.

He shakes his head. "I don't drink. I hardly do. Bad for you." He snickers.

"I suppose so. So innocent aren't you?" I smirked.

"I'm not. I wish I was." He stretches out his arms. "So did you need some therapy session with me?"

"Sure." I smiled, and sat down.

He goes to sit down next to me, and takes out a mini notepad. "Tell me your problems Mr. Sahara."

"Stop it with the last name." My face scrunched up.

"Haha I love teasing you!" He laughs, and it sounded like those anime guy's laugh.

"You should be a voice actor."

He blushes. "Aw I wish. Sadly I suck at acting. Now enough of me, what is going on?"

"I want to let go of a person I love. I know it is time to move on. I'm tired of chasing."

"Why do you think it is time to move on?" He looks at me.

"I love this....kid. He is..."

"Oh a he!" He chuckles.

"Yeah. This boy. I know he is in his twenties, but to me...he is a kid still."

"Well what is up with him?"

"I knew him ever since I was a child. I never knew I would fall in love with another guy. I just love how he would make me the bigger person. I love how he depends on me. I love how he worked so hard to try to find me." I felt my eyes getting warm with tears. "I made a big mistake to make him my lover. For once I had control."

"Did something happened in your past?"

"Yeah. I was sexually abused by my boss. That lead me into a world with drugs, and sleeping around. I guess that fucked me up. Now when I am around this kid, I feel I have power. I would hit him whenever he did something that I didn't liked. I wanted him all for myself. He was mine, but recently this other guy came in the picture. I know the kid I love loves him more since he treats him right."

"Kazuo, if he really loves you, he will come back. He worked so hard to find you, I don't think he will give it up so simply."

"You don't understand...I killed his best friend because I was jealous. I knew they were close. I am a killer." I held my face in my hand."

Saito stays silent for a bit. He didn't seem affected by my sudden confession on being a cold blooded murderer. Somehow that made me feel at ease.

"Kazuo everyone makes mistakes. I don't see you as less of a person. I know it will be hard forgiving you if you did that to my best friend, but you are only human." He said calmly.

"What...?" My eyes were already soaked with tears. Maybe tears of happiness that someone isn't blaming me.

"I can't hate what you did. Maybe we are both weird." He forms a small smile.

"Yeah maybe." I nodded.

"Hey I got to head home, but I can drop by again tomorrow. I got to get started on my school shit. Decided to go to university again haha! Silly."

"Oh?"

"You are a professor. Are you good in math?"

"Very." I smirked.
