Elegant but

Hard.

Lovely yet

Ugly.

Knowledgeable but

Stupid.

Harsh yet

Soft.

Beautiful but

Dying.

Colorful yet

Bland.

This is

The rose.

It’s showing perfection

Yet sinfulness.

This rose is everything

A human is.

By seeking to fit

In and beauty,

One must become

Harsh and grow

Thorns,

While holding

Such exquisite

Beauty

Yet be as

Soft as petals.

…. Just like this rose.
