-Wednesday-

"I would love to skip the first two hours!" MJ groaned in annoyance.

"Oh come on, it isn't that bad.", I replied.

We were just walking from the locker room into the gym and straight towards Ned and Peter. Ned also seemed visibly unhappy about the fact that we had sport for the first two hours and that today's topic was gymnastics too.
When the teacher asked us to form teams of two, Ned and MJ decided to form a team so that they could avoid as many exercises as possible together. One thing led to another and so Peter and I got together. The teams of two were only meant to help each other and the like anyway.

While Michelle and Ned were doing the few exercises to my amazement, Peter did very well, to my astonishment.

"Hey Parker, are you not just a loser lately, but also a girl ?!"
"Yes, haha, whoever does gymnastics like that can only be a girl!", Flash Thompson and one of his followers shouted.

Suddenly Peter stopped his movements, sat down on the mat and avoided the looks of Flash and his clique. Such slogans from Flash were nothing new, about half of the school heard them every day.
When I turned to Peter, I noticed that he looked like Flash's comment really hit him. I sat down next to him, nudged him slightly from the side and was able to win a smile from him.

“Parker, Adams! Carry on! “, The teacher called from the other side of the hall.

"Come on!", I said and pulled him back up to his feet by his arm.

When the lesson was over we parted ways again, but MJ and I would see the boys again at decathlon training that afternoon. During the lunch break we sat down at Ned's table. From today he would also take part in the training, as the team had decided to use him as a kind of "backup".

"Where's Peter?" I asked him.

"I don't know."

"How don't you know?"

"He just said he had to do something."

MJ seemed a bit indignant.
"He can't just skip training, we're just about to start the tournament!"

I hoped that his absence had nothing to do with the comments from Flash this morning. The gong that ended the lunch break rang and we set off. The academic decathlon training went amazingly well, I was able to answer almost all the questions correctly, only the math questions gave me problems. In the end, I heard Liz ask Michelle to bring a pile of practice questions over to Peter so he could practice at home. As we left the room, she gave me the pile and a slip of paper with Peter's address on it.

"I'm sure you can bring it over to him, I have to go, see you tomorrow!", she shouted at me with a grin and ran out of the school building.

On the train, I checked the address slip and saw that he didn't live far from me. I got out and went on my way. When I arrived in front of the apartment building, I rang the doorbell for “Parker”, the door opener was pressed and I went upstairs to the second floor of the apartment. The moment I reached the front door, it was already opened. A woman opened the door and looked at me.

"Um, I- I'm Lyra, Peter and I know each other from school and, um, I just wanted to bring him something from school," I stammered.

She invited me in and offered to sit down on the sofa. Shortly after I sat down, she came back from the kitchen with a cup of tea and sat down in an armchair across from me. She started a conversation.

“Peter isn't there yet, but I'm sure he'll be here any moment. You can wait for him if you have the time.”

“Yes, I'll do that, I'm not in a hurry. ”

“It's nice to meet new friends of Peter. I don't know any of his friends apart from Ned, which is probably because he doesn't have any. That's a shame because he's actually a very nice boy. "

"Yes, he is.“

Actually, I didn't want to agree with her, but for some reason I couldn't deny at that moment that he was really nice and more than that. We heard the door open.

“Aunt May, I'm back!”
Peter could be heard shouting from the hallway.

She replied: "Very nice, you have a visitor."

He peered into the living room, at first he looked taken by surprise, but then he smiled.

"Hi, Lyra."

"Hi ... Peter!"

"Is there anything else I can do for you?" His aunt spoke up again.

"No." he replied and directed me with his head to follow him.
