Peter Parker- I'm with you, no matter what

Chapter 27

-Peter-

When I woke up, Lyra was still lying there exactly as she had fallen asleep. With her head on my chest and her arm around my stomach. I carefully lifted her head to slide out of bed. As she lay there and slept, she looked so peaceful that there was no way I wanted to wake her. I decided to slip into my Spider-Man suit and get her new clothes from home. I made my way and managed to open a tilted window and get inside. I stood in front of her closet, perplexed. So many clothes. In the end, I just took out a pair of light blue skinny jeans and a white cropped long-sleeved shirt, so I couldn't go wrong with that. At home I went through my window to my room, where Lyra was still sleeping. I sat quietly on the floor in front of my bed and watched her. In the corner of my eye I saw how the door to my room opened a crack and May stuck her head in.

"I'll make breakfast then.", she announced and winked at me. She closed the door again and Lyra slowly woke up.

"Good morning, sleepyhead."

"Good morning.", she replied and threw me a pillow, then stood up, took my hands and kissed me. I could get used to it even though my heart almost stopped. It was so strange to be so close to her now.

"Where do the clothes come from?"

"Oh yes, I was at your house and brought them with me."

"Thanks."

She quickly got dressed and we went into the kitchen, where May had already made breakfast.

"Good morning you two."

"Good morning." Lyra's voice sounded very excited.

During breakfast, May watched us pretty closely. At some point I got up to wash my hands in the bathroom, but as soon as I left the kitchen, May started talking to Lyra, which is why I stopped in the hallway to listen.

“I'm happy for you two, it's nice that Peter finally found someone. Since you've been here for the first time, Peter seems somehow happier. He really deserves a bit of luck.”

“Yes, he do and I will do my best to ensure that he gets this luck.”

Silently I crept into the bathroom and then walked back into the kitchen as if I hadn't heard anything. Suddenly our cell phones vibrated at the same time and we checked. It was a message from Ned in the group. He asked if we all wanted to come over to watch films, but to be honest I didn't feel like it and Lyra signaled to me that she didn't want to either. Almost at the same time we replied that we were already busy today. I just wanted to spend the day with her, because we probably still had a lot to talk about.
