I lay in my bed in the guest room and tried to hear what Ned and Peter were talking about in the hallway. Ned had come over to meet Peter. Even if I couldn't understand everything they were saying, I understood enough to know that Peter had just told Ned everything. He told him about our last fight against Vulture, about Black Widow and how I almost died. They ended the conversation and there was a knock on the door of my room.

“Come on in!”

“Hi Lyra, how are you? Peter has already told me everything.”

“In the circumstances, actually quite good.”

“What do you want to say when someone asks what happened?”, he asked us.

"I have no idea, we will think of some story.", Peter answered him.

“Come on Ned, we're going. Can I leave you here alone?”

“Sure, that's okay. I can manage on my own."

"Okay, I won't stay long and May should come back at any moment.”

Peter and Ned left the apartment, the door slammed behind them. Now I was alone and everything was absolutely silent. How could I endure barely moving for two weeks and just lying here in bed? Fortunately, after about 20 minutes, May came and kept me company.
After a few hours, Peter came back too. He came into my room, where I was sitting on the bed, staring at the wall.

"Eyes closed! I've got something for you!”

I closed my eyes and heard him pulling something out of a bag. I felt that he was holding something right in front of my face.

"You can look now!"

A necklace dangled in front of my eyes. A silver necklace with a filigree spider pendant. The spider's body was only silver from below, a small gem was enthroned on the top. Something was engraved in small, delicate letters on the underside. "I'm with you, no matter what!"

“Peter it- it is beautiful! Thanks!”

I tried to get up to hug him, but Peter saw that I couldn't, so he sat down very close to me. He took the necklace from my hand and put it on me. Then he helped me get up and propped me up on the way into the living room. As I sat down on the couch, a sharp, dragging pain shot through my right side.
May and Peter looked at me worried.

"It's not that bad."

"But it looked completely different!", Peter said and sat down next to me.

"I'll see if we still have painkillers."

May disappeared towards the bathroom.
