-Peter-

I poked around on my plate listlessly. When I met Lyra yesterday, I could hear in her voice that she was hurt, that she was sad and angry with me.

"Peter, you have to eat something and you have to go to school right away."

"Mhm.", I growled back.

“You've been weird since I got back from the hospital. Do you want to finally tell me what's going on and why Lyra isn't coming here?”

I looked up from my plate, straight into May's eyes. I didn't really want to tell her anything, but something was pushing me to do it. In the next few minutes I explained everything to her, I also showed her the note that had been with her in the hospital. My aunt got up, walked around the table and hugged me. I noticed how much I missed the closeness to my aunt.
With all my secrets, I'd always been very distant, but now that she knew I was Spider-Man, I didn't have to.

"Oh Peter, you shouldn't have to make such difficult decisions, you should have fun with your friends and a normal life!"

Sometimes I wish nothing more than that.

"May I give you some advice? Make sure you explain everything to Lyra and win her back. She can take good care of herself, you don't have to push her away.”

“You're right! In retrospect, I made the wrong decision. I have to go! Bye!”

I kissed May goodbye on the cheek and then ran out of the house. At school, whenever I saw Lyra, I tried to catch her eye, but she never looked my way. She was really good at ignoring me and I deserved it. Ok so it didn't work out.

"Lyra!", I called across the hall.

Everyone was looking at me, everyone but her. She just kept walking. Every time our paths were about to cross, she quickly turned into another corridor or walked into some classroom. At some point I caught up with her, I grabbed her arm.

"Lyra!"

"Let go of me!", she sounded so determined and serious that I was a little startled and immediately let go of her.

“Can we talk?”

“Now do you want to talk? That's not how it works. You throw me out of your life and now you expect me to listen to you! I don't have time for that!”

With that she just left me there. Just like she doesn't care about me. I didn't meet her again that day and continued to be ignored the next day. Ned knew everything by now, I had told him everything.

"Ned I'm at a loss, what should I do? How do I get her back if she neither speaks to me nor listens to me?”

“If she doesn't listen to you and you can't talk to her, then you just have to write what you have to say!”

“Ned, you're a genius!”

I actually still had lessons, but I couldn't wait and went home.
When I finally got home, I threw my backpack on the floor and then immediately sat down at my desk. Ned's idea of writing was really good, why didn't I come up with it myself? I would wait near her apartment until she got home and then throw in the letter, but for that I had to write it first.
At first I couldn't find the right words. The letter had to be perfect, maybe this was my last chance to get her back and explain everything to her. Again and again I crumpled up the paper and started over. After what felt like hours I was finished, I put my letter in a kaurvert and made my way to Lyra. Just in time, she just entered the building and before the door could shut behind her, I put my foot between it. When I heard the door slam upstairs, I entered the house and hurried up the stairs. The doors had letter slots so I could push the letter through and it landed right in the apartment.
