"You ready?" Adam asked me and I nodded. He took his hand and brushed a stray strand of hair behind my ear before I turned to face Todd.

Todd out-stretched his hand towards me and I put one foot in the water. Though it was freezing, I still felt warm inside. I was so happy. Something inside me was filled and I felt at peace. Last night was a start of a new life with new people, new personality, and a new relationship with God. The only thing I can say is that I wished I realized I needed him sooner.

The icy water went up to my waist when I reach Todd's hand.

"I want you to grab my wrist." He said and I did as instructed. He put one hand on my middle back and the other rested in front of my face.

"Ann, I'm so happy to be here on this chilly Sunday afternoon to symbolize your acceptance of Christ. You were a stranger, then a friend, and now you're my sister. Now in this body of water, I will baptize you in the name of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit." He said, loud enough for Adam and Danny to hear from the dry grass.

Tears pricked my eyes. I was so happy.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

I nodded as a tear fell down my cheek and he nodded back.

"Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for my new sister in Christ. I am so thankful she is in my life, and though I haven't known her long, I pray that we have a long lasting friendship. I am thankful to be baptizing her in your great name. I don't know her story, but you do. You love her deeply with all your heart and now she has made the lifetime decision to love you back. We thank you for this day, we thank you for Ann, and we thank you for your gift of Jesus Christ. And in the name of The Father, The Son, And the Holy Spirit, I baptize her. Amen."

He took the hand I was holding and plugged my nose with it. With one dip, I was submerged into the freezing water. Moments later, I was lifted to the surface.

I could hear Danny and Adam clapping and I did a little laugh. Todd hugged me, obviously not caring that I was wet. After we pulled back, he led me out of the water, where Adam and Danny both group hugged me. When they pulled back, I noticed one of them had put a towel around me.

"My beautiful wife!" Danny gushed jokingly.

"Guys, I'm freezing." I said. Almost instantaneously, Adam wrapped his arm around me. My teeth chattered and my body shook violently. It was 50 degrees out here! It's not that cold, but when you were just dunked in a freezing lake then yeah, it's cold.

"So what do you wanna do now, Ann?" Adam asked as we lightly swayed.

"Go home." I answered.

"We could go ice-skating, hiking, or go the park or something...." He ignored me. Even though I knew he was joking, I was still annoyed.

"For goodness sake, Adam, take me home." I begged.

"Okay! Geez. Let's go." He chuckled.

I said goodbye to Danny and thank Todd before we left.

He took me to where his car was parked and we got in.

"Don't worry around getting the seat wet or anything." He told me.

I replied with a nod and we drove off.

After I took a hot shower, got out all the fuzzy winter socks and robes, and 2 cups of hot chocolate, I was finally warm.

"I never want to be cold again. We live in Texas. It shouldn't be cold."

"It was only 50 degrees outside." Adam said from beside me.
