"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers." Psalms 1:1
~~~
Finally, School (or 'Hell' as I should call it) is over for the day. My shoes pattered against the concrete with every step. Yes, I was walking again. I didn't want to face the bus today. Way too stressful. As I said before, it was loud and stuffy and sticky and gross. I absolutely hated riding the bus.
Anyways, the rest of the day wasn't too eventful. Kinda boring actually. I was surprised that the whole school wasn't infected by ole Matty boy's lies. Maybe some people just didn't believe them? Or maybe they just pretended they didn't. Either way, the day could've been better, but it could've been worse
"Ann! Wait!" I heard a voice from behind me.
Swiftly, I turned on my heel to face Ashley. She had her phone in her hand and she looked worried and full of regret. Her nicely plucked eyebrows were knitted together as she breathed heavily. She appeared to have been running to catch up with me.
"Did you see it?" She exclaimed urgently.
"Wait... What? What are you talking about?" I stammered, confused.
"Some guy posted a video of his friend slapping your ass at the track. Why didn't you tell me about this?"
"Wait he posted it?!" I asked, caught off guard by her statement.
"Yeah he's been telling everyone to watch it and Facebook is blowing up with that video. Last time I checked, It had over 100 views already."
She handed me her phone, which had the video on pause and I played it. I saw the guy run up and smack my bottom and run back, laughing. I turned around and heard the familiar line "Did you just slap my ass?" "Yeah I hope i don't get any diseases."
It was just like what happened only 2 hours ago, only in a different point of view. What a jerk, I thought. The video ended and Ashley stuck her phone back in her pocket.
"Well..?" Ashley asked, gesturing me to continue.
"Well...?"
She stared at me, obviously wanting me to have a bigger reaction. She was probably expecting me to go and rip some heads off or something. But I wasn't going to. I felt like was starting to become immune to this crap. Rumors, lies, cheaters, names, jokes. They were getting old more than they were offending now.
But yet again, I spoke too soon.
"Look what the janitor forgot to throw away- I mean, everyone throws away used toys."
I looked at the group of girls standing in front of me, with their hair in neat, spiral curls, and their outfits looking like they had just put them on instead of 7 hours ago. Pretty much the typical girl around here. Even though this was a low budget, ghetto public school, there were still a few bimbo barbie's around here who thought they could be the perfect girl. I think they've seen Mean Girls a few times too many.
My forrest green eyes landed on a blonde girl who made the comment. Her shoulder was wrapped with someone's arm. I'm guessing that the person the arm belonged to was her boyfriend. The tall, brown haired boy smiled and giggled at her little joke.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ashley snapped.
"You haven't heard?" She asked a little quieter, pulling Ashley a few feet away from me, leaving me alone with her little entourage.
