Deeks POV

"You alright, Kensi?" I asked quietly on the drive back from Julia's funeral.

"I'm fine, Martin." She said with tension in her voice. She was not her self, because the use of my real first name was very uncommon.

We pulled into our driveway, and Kensi immediately got out of the car to unstrapped Liam.

"I'll start to make us dinner." Kensi said as she cradled Liam up the sand covered stairs.

She placed Liam in his bouncer, and walked upstairs to change into some comfortable clothes.

"Watch Liam, please?" She whispered before walking upstairs.

I nodded my head and walked over to the kitchen sink. I opened up the cupboard and took out a can of cat food, and the bag of kibble. I heard the claws of the animals scrape though the house as they ran to their bowls, awaiting the food.

After I scooped food into the bowls, Kensi was coming downstairs in her pajamas.

"I was thinking I'd make us some grilled chicken and Greek salad. How does that sound?" Kensi asked as she started to take out the vegetables needed for the salad.

"That sounds amazing, honey."

I started to approach the stairs to change out of my suit, when Kensi started to speak.

"Thank you, Deeks," she said with a smile. "Thank you for helping, it truly has helped."

"I'm glad." I said before running up the stairs two at a time.

I tidied up the kitchen, while Kensi was upstairs putting Liam down for the night.

I was starting to dry the dishes when I heard her come down the stairs and sit on the couch.

"I was thinking we could go to the park tomorrow? Maybe take the dogs for a run?" I asked with a laugh.

I got no answer from Kensi. Worried, I ran to the couch to see if she was alright.

I approached the coach and immediately saw her fast asleep. I smiled, and picked her up. She subconsciously wrapped her arms around my neck as I walked her up the stairs.

I placed her under the bed sheets, and tucked her in.

"I love you." I said as I kissed her on the forehead.

I took off my shirt and crawled into bed with Kensi. She immediately curled up into me, the smell of her tropical scent excited my nose. We both slept a peaceful night.

I got up at 07:00 to go catch some waves, when I found Kensi's side of the bed empty.

Panicked, I ran downstairs and checked the kitchen and living room. She was nowhere to be found. I ran into the garage and saw the car was still there.

I see her flip flops are missing, so I slip on my own and head out the back door towards the beach, where I see Kensi catch a perfect wave. I smile at seeing her have fun.

She spots me and starts paddling back to shore. She puts her board under her arm and runs up to greet me.

She drops her board on the sand and gives me a huge, salty kiss.

"Good morning," Kensi says as she breaks away from our first kiss in almost a month. "I was surprised you didn't get up with me at 05:30 to catch some waves!" She said as she picked up her board and started to walk back to the house.

"That's because I didn't hear you get up!" I acclaimed as we walked through the back door.

"I'm going to go have a shower, Callen's taking me out to lunch." She says as she jolts upstairs.

I follow her upstairs and grab Liam from his crib. He's wide awake when I enter the room. He immediately smiles when he sees me.

"Hey there buddy!" I say as I picked him up and carry him to the changing table.

I change his diaper and bring him downstairs to give him his milk.

I grab a bottle from the fridge, and heat it up using our new bottle warmer. After its heated up, I start to feed the bottle to Liam.

Kensi comes down the stairs a little while later, her wet hair dripping down her shirt.

"It's such a beautiful day outside, I was thinking when I get back from lunch, we could go to the park?" She asked as she grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge.

"I'd love nothing more." I said with a smile.

"Good, lunch won't be too long, because Callen's taking me on his lunch break."

Kensi sets the water back in the fridge and jolts upstairs.

"Looks like it's just going to be me and you for a while, buddy."
